Candida is a type of yeast like infection or fungi that is generally found on the skin or within the mucous membranes in the mouth, vagina, and intestines.

Candida - Cleansing Internally

Physicians are seeing more cases of Candida now than they had been seeing in the past; this may be due to the fact that people are living longer and as we age our immune systems are as capable of fighting off these bad fungi that find their way into our bodies.  Another reason this yeast like infection has gotten more predominate over recent years is due to the overuse of antibiotics which kill of the good bacteria needed to fight yeast type infections.  So now that you know basically what Candida is and where it is found in the body, we should explore ways to naturally detox our systems from this nasty yeast like infection.

You first need to remove the toxins that have built up in areas of your body because of the Candida infestation.  There are many ways you can remove these toxins from your body, which are listed below:

  • Drink a lot of water
  • Colon cleansers
  • Take supplements such as ginseng, garlic, golden seal, olive leaf extract, tea tree oil, colloidal silver and grape seed extract.
  • Go on a juice fast
  • Use an anti-microbial supplement in herbal form which will help to eliminate the yeast in your body.

Probiotics and Candida

Probiotics are supplements that have the good bacteria in them that is used to fight off the growth or spreading of Candida; it also helps to make your digestive track work better as well as your immune system.  The best type of probiotics are those that contain bifid bacteria, acidophilus, and lactobacilli; these help maintain and keep a healthy and well functioning intestinal flora while you are in the process of detoxing your body. 

Best Diet for Detoxing

In order for your body to detox properly you will have to stop eating and drinking foods and beverages that have carbohydrates and contain sugar.  You need to do this in conjunction with taking the probiotics and doing the cleansing treatments.  In order for your body to eliminate the Candida from your body you have to stop feeding the Candida what it needs to keep growing, which are foods and beverages high in sugar and carbohydrates.  These foods include:

Many people stay on a Candida diet for four weeks and then slowly return to their normal eating habits; however, as you do this you should add one item a day to see how your body reacts.  If you begin feeling the symptoms of Candida again, stay on the diet listed above; many people maintain that diet continually as well as taking the probiotics and some of the supplements mentioned above.

I know for a fact that this diet works as recently I had a scope done of the lining of my stomach which revealed this bad for of yeast in my digestive system.  I began the detox along with the cleansing and diet and have not had a bit of problems since.  I admit that I haven’t stayed on the diet completely, but it sure did what it needed to do when I was diagnosed with this harmful yeast infection.
