This is an app which is a PDF document reader and is used to help file and organize documents. One can download files directly from dropbox, the internet and googledocs which can then be viewed and edited.
GoodReader cost $5 to download but is worth the convenience offered by it.

Pages
This is an app which is a word processor and is used to create reports and documents. It is a free app which was specifically designed to be used by iOS compatible devices.
These documents can then be conveniently transferred or e-mailed so that they can be edited or worked on further.
Dropbox
This app is used for syncing files between tablets, smartphones and a user's PC.
This is very convenient as one can work on documents, where the apps GoodReader or Pages are being used, while attending classes or doing rounds at the hospitals. These documents can then be transferred to the app and accessed by a linked device at home to work on further.
Noterize
This app combines a legal pad, recording device and word processor in one. It's an annotation app where you can view and make notes on, draw on and highlight on PDF files which can then be transferred to an app such as Dropbox or e-mailed.
Evernote
This app allows one to make basic notes which can be e-mailed or transferred, much like Noterize. The big difference between the two is that with Evernote, one can use a compatible device to scan class notes and documents as well as clip and highlight articles from the internet for academic research.
Popplet
Students use this app to think and learn visually. This is done by capturing thoughts, images and facts and they then learn to create relationships between themselves as well as generate new ideas.
Files completed in this app can be transferred or e-mailed in PDF or JPEG format.

Dragon Dictation
This is an easy-to-use voice recognition app which is powered by Dragon® NaturallySpeaking® and allows the user to easily speak and instantly see the spoken text. This is extremely convenient as it is up to 5 times faster than typing on a keyboard.
With Dragon Dictation the user can send notes and set reminders for themselves by just using their voice. This is especially helpful when a student is constantly on-the-go because they don't have to stop typing and can just start speaking into a compatible device.
Kindle
This is quite a useful app when it comes to searching for relevant medical books. These books can then can be purchased and downloaded onto a compatible device.
The convenience here is that it isn't necessary to carry around heavy, space-occupying books anymore as all the information is contained in the digital device.
