Thanks for your responses. He's now 12 and his erect penis is about 8". He has started puberty and is growing a lot. I've never taken him to a Dr about this because he is very healthy otherwise. His father is about 5.5" but has a very long foreskin. I just can't help wonder how long it will be when he is 17 or 18.

If I had a 12 year old son who's penis was 2" long, I wouldn't be worried, but I would be saying, "Well, that should start changing any day now." For all those who read something like the above "6-7 inch penis", and wonder why mom (or dad) is measuring, they are not. The writer was expecting to see a 1-2 inch penis on this 10 year old boy. Three to four times that, understandably leaves the writer saying, "How did that happen?!!" You don't need a measuring device to know something is amiss. Another way to tell that it is an estimate is when the measurements are rounded to inches. We do have another responder to the original piece who gives measurements of nine and a half and ten and three quarters, so that writer must have been using a measuring device, except that that writer made the whole thing up. There's just too many outrageous claims in that piece. Bottom line; Almost any true claim of unusual size, on a third party, large or small is an estimate.
