15 and haven't had my period for 9 months. Why haven't I gotten it?

I've always been irregular. I usually got it every 3 months and it was very light. And now I haven't had my period for nine months. I haven't taken birth control and I'm not pregnant but I have no idea why I haven't had it yet.
