I am the same way been off for a couple weeks and my nipples are so sore, so i asked my sister who is a nurse and she said that your body needs to adjust to the loss of the hormones and estrogen in BC,with But if your late on your period i would go in and get a test done or as your doctor.

Hi all

I've been off the pill and haven't had a period for roughly 2+ months. I've taken 4 pregnancy tests (one just this morning!) and all have been negative. I've even been to the doctor for this to double check.

I never have unprotected sex, but there's always a risk!

My nipples JUST started hurting this week, but even since then I've been getting cramps and low back pain, as if I'm getting my period.

My doctor said that it may be "birth control related amenhoria" and that it may be due to the change in hormones in my body.

I'd get it checked... but as far as I know I'm not pregnant!

I have a doctor's appointment in the near future... I'll keep you posted!

I have NOT have sex at all - so i know that i am not pregnant and merely am getting wierd preg symptoms from the lack of nuva...which is odd..and disturbing...i think the nipple soreness may drive me crazy

i'm so glad i found this site! I have been flipping out, thinking I'm pregnant because my nipples are so sore. I just went off the Yasmin birth control pill about a week ago and my nipples have been hurting for a couple days now. I had a normal period before that, and have had protected sex with my boyfriend. I've taken a pregnancy test, negative ofcourse.

has anyone figured anything out with all this? I think I'm going to call my doctor today and ask if it could be a side effect of stopping birth control.

What a relief! This exact same thing is happening to me, and I was afraid it could be pregnancy. I'm not supposed to have my period for another few days, but I am pretty nervous.

I stopped my birth control right before my last period, about 3 weeks ago. A few days after my period, I got TERRIBLE cramping and bloating, and now I have sore nipples. Only to the touch, but almost bruised feeling.

hey I also stopped taking my birth control about 2 weeks ago and just last week I've had some cramps and this week my nipples are extremely sore, but only when they get hard. I have a 8 month old son already so I know I'm not pregnant. (im not having any pregnancy symptoms and my fiance and I use condoms and he pulls out) So could this be a side effect of stopping the pill?

Hey i have just come off monofeme pill and have had cramps in lower abdomem (sometimes sharp pains) and have really sore nipples also... I came off the pill to have a break from it as I was sick and I needed a break... I'm almost 100% I'm not pregnant so from reading all of this feedback I guess its just symptons of coming off the pill, although I am going to go the doctor to see why this is happening, and will get back and give you all some feedback. Take care.

I have been off of birth control pills for a little over a month now. My husband and i had sex around the time the ovulation calendar said that i was extremely fertile. I am not five days late, my breasts and nipples are sore, my lower back hurts, and i am having head aches. I am wondering if this could mean that I am pregnant, or is my body getting used to being off of birth control pills? Has this happened to anyone else?

I just wanted to let you all know that I just called my doctors office to ask about the sore nipples and cramping. I'm in the same situation as most of you...stopped taking the pill about 3 weeks ago and having unprotected sex. My husband and I just went on our honeymoon, so there might be a baby on the way.

Anyways, the nurse said that it could be a sign of pregnancy, but it could also just be the body adjusting to not being on the pill. As soon as the egg implants, she said you could begin having symptoms such as sore nipples and cramping.

Won't officially know anything until I've missed a period and take a pregnancy tes. But right now it's too soon.

Just wanted to let you know what I'd found out.

Is there anything that can be done about the sore nipples? I just stopped the birth control and have sore nipples, slight cramping starting. No chance of being pregnant yet, but my question is what can be done about my sore nipples?

People with lower abdomen cramping . . . you're ovulating!
