Hi Everyone! 6/25/16
I am 27 from Texas and i have never had a period and my story is similar to others on this thread.
I wanted to post my story to the board because most on here are a year old...
Today I had a Pelvic ultrasound done to make sure there isn't abnormalities and once again felt as if I'm an alien when the tech was shocked that i had never had a period (she did apologize for acting so shocked). I didn't want to feel alone in this so I googled my situation which i have done many times before but have never found this site until today. I'm glad i did because it has calmed me down by confirming im not alone.
I was 17 when i first went to the gyno, i took hormones (progesterone and i think the other was estrogen, there may have been another but im not 100% sure) for one night and one night only i had a period. I was shocked and relieved, i had felt like every other girl in the world for once in my teenage life but didnt know it would really be the only time in my life (so far) to feel womanly. The gyno told me that it was a good thing i menstruated, and that all all my parts were in working condition but that it wasn't necessary to continue on them or to have a period. I didn't want to deal with all that anyway. Now, Im single and not wanting kids anytime soon but need to get this straightened out for my sanity and for my bone health since i have Graves Disease which can reduce bone density as well as my imbalanced hormones can also.
I hope everyone finds the answers they need to help their situations. Once i get my results from the ultrasound and more answers i will write again.

I know these are all old posts but I still had to put in my two cents. I am 28 years old and never had a period. I have known since I was 16 and it's the best thing ever! I was born with a syndrome that one in 5000 are born with. MRKH (Mayor Rokitanksy Luster Hauser Syndrome). I was born without many of the female sexual and reproductive organs. I only have one Ovary and one kidney which is where my uterus should be. Many doctors don't know alot about MRKH. To me, this is the best thing in the world. I have tried to fix my hormones and try to get turned on when I was going to be married by using birth control pills but those stupid things decided to work in a different direction and cause my to become suicidal. Alright! There's my two cents.

I am 26 and never got my period either. I went through MRI scans (one doctor even considered I was a guy and requested a DNA test, geez) and laparoscopy when I was 18. The doctor finally decided my muscles are underdeveloped and pursued nothing further. I see it as a comfort, since I was never keen of having children. The only thing disturbs me is other people's (women, in fact) reaction like they are pitying and feeling sad when I tell them about my condition. I never met anyone with the same issue, and glad to find this post ^-^ Be well fellows!
