I’ve been to the top specialists in the state of Michigan! They put me on an estrogen patch for 3 months.. hoping to induce menstration: didn’t work.. so they said continue the estrogen patch and take progesterone.. guess what?!? Still no period! The doc who I loved and was the number 1 doc- passed away suddenly (heartbroken) bc he was the only one to give me somewhat of a diagnoses! I get sent to one of his old partners! He just said I don’t know why the hormones didn’t work.. the physician who passed away, diagnosed with with Hypothalmic Pituitary Dysfunction- basically they don’t communicate with ovaries (there’s a missing signal) estrogen, progesterone, testosterone are low. All other labs which I’ve had every single one day are normal! No pcos, no thyroid issues, nothing!
So they say take a low dose of hormones: to mainatain health.
I was diagnosed with osteoporosis at the age of 21! Since then it has progressed. My spine is the age of a 103 year olds bones. Among other issues from having low hormones.
I decline hormones due to the side effects of them! I supplement to protect my bones, eat healthy and work out.!
I still believe there is a reason why why hormones are low and have been low my whole life. I don’t know the reason, but hopefully studies will figure them out.
It sucks to deal with this, but sometimes we won’t get an answer bc we are a medical mystery! Best of luck to you!

I'm 32 now. I went to my Pediatrician when I was 15, still no periods. They jump started them with some drugs and whatnot. I know I'm so stupid never going to a gyno, but I'm so afraid to find out what is wrong with me. I can't believe I've been so afraid and so stupid. I'm finally making a gyno appt at 32!

Based on the OB, from my ultrasound, my uterus was too small and they considered me having a hormonal imbalance, I forgot what the dr. said but we talked something about in my brain, estrogen, progesterone and something like that. And that's the reason why I haven't develop pubic hair on my private part and my height too. I was also wondering why my breast are normal, not that big, not too small, well then I guess that's what an imbalance is.
Now I don't have problem if I can't be pregnant
(I don't like kids! Because all the kids I've been closed to or have been tutored freely before when they were so small, or even normal kiddos doesn't respect me anymore, maybe they don't see me as their elder. Well how can they see me like that when I'm this small too! But I don't want to get near them also esp. when they're starting to get taller than me. I feel so left out, down, different, embarrassed and so small :'( well we all have insecurities right?)
because there's a lot of ways to have babies. We have high technology girls. It's also a blessing in disguise bec we don't have to suffer monthly pain and buy for snaitary napkins everytime we have monthly visitors, we can swim in a pool w/o being worried the blood might flow and those girls that are having imbalances but the height is not affected, you should be thankful.
What you'll finally need is a man who will accept you for your imperfections. Long live girls!
(sorry for my bad english & composition)

I’m in the process of getting tests including an MRI on my pituitary gland to see what’s wrong! I suggest talking to multiple GPs until they do something you’re happy with (rather than prescribing medicines that done work etc) get a second third fourth fifth and 50th opinion always

I am 24 years old. I went to see my lady doctor at age 18 because I did not start my period. So they decided to start me on the pill. That did work. I started and had regular periods with cramps and everything up until last April when I chose to stop talking the pill (after getting the OK from my doctor) because my husband and I wanted to start trying for kids. Since I stopped the pill, I have not had a period and no cramps. I had a check up today and my doctor said everything down there is perfectly normal so the next step is to get some blood work done. I just find it really weird that I appear to be "normal" but have no periods and when I was on the pill i had regular periods.
When I got checked at 18 my doctor then told me that I may need help getting pregnant. When I told my current doctor this, he got my tests from my lady doctor and he told me that it did not state anything about me having issues with having children. So I am a bit confused with this. I just hope everything works out when I get my blood work done.
