Thank you for stating what I was thinking, I had the Novasure and my Dr explained more times than I can count that I should not ever attempt to get pregnant and if I did an abortion would be recommended if I did not miscarry. The pregnancy can be incredibly dangerous for the health of the mother and lead to many negative side effects if the baby survives to term

After many years of fertility problems I at age 34 had a Miracle. Her father, my ex had more kids and pushed me to have surgery... I thought I loved him.. I made the wrong choice.. We are ALL told it is the end to an era.. but that does not stop the Instincts we have as Humans. I can not give my Husband a Child now and I have to Live with that.. But I also Live with Hope & Faith that maybe one day I will be Blessed again. I'll Keep Praying ;) Hugs

how wrong you are ive been sterilized aiso had a ablation a few years ago yet ive just been in hospital for laparoscopy as ive been having left sided pain in my abdomen for 7 months when i came round from the anathesic my consultant told me he had to remove my left fallopian he suspects a eptopic pregnancy i was told there would be no chances of becoming pregnant

I had my tubes done 5 yrs ago and then had ablation procedure a few weeks after tubal (all 5 yrs ago) I am now about 5 wks pregnant...any one with any info would be great ...already been to hospital and doctor...blood tests out the wazoo and stat us ...just a waiting game but anyone with details would be greatly appreciated....

Hi. I wanted to post on this having had a thermal balloon ablation in 2006.
Last July after I found myself pregnant, only to find out after lots of early scans that my little one had miscarried at 9 weeks. 3 months later and I was pregnant again after 1 night of unprotected sex with my partner. I carried the baby with lots of 1st trimester bleeding, several scans and under the care of a team if high risk obs. Unfortunately my waters broke at 18 weeks last week which caused a cord prolapse. My little boy was born 5 days ago and it's been the worse emotional pain I've ever been through. I have 2 children aged 16 and 11 years old and they was both over due and I had no problems carrying them.
The docs cannot tell me categorically if it was the ablation that caused this or just plain bad luck. I know in my heart that it must be and I am struggling to come to terms that my being careless has harmed my babies.
My partner and I love each other very much and would not want anyone to experience the heartache we have over the latter months. I really needed to get that off my chest. Ive read hundreds of threads over the months and felt it was time to share our story.

I am so glad to see some of you view life as sacred. Nothing good comes from abortion,
even if there are risks! I am expecting my 11th child at the age of 46! Totally not planned but will receive this child as a blessing from heaven, even though I have some health issues. It's not good for your spirit and future emotional health to abort. Don't harden your hearts and listen to what the world says, I know it will only bring you misery in the end. I say this not to judge but to spare your babies from harm and you from sorrow.

First we cannot Judge anyone as we are NOT the Alpha & Omega. We should support individuals who were not provided all facts. I NEVER had any problems until we had our 2nd child. We decided as a good form of birth control was to just tie my tubes until we wanted to try again. Well thanks to my Gyn with our consent he cut, tied, and burned my tubes. We consented to tying only. That's when my problems began. Years after our precious baby girl was born I began having 20-38 day periods. Clots and all. I found a new Gyn and NovaSure was highly recommended because of the cancer cells that had developed in the uterine lining. This procedure has kept me without a cycle for the 8yrs that I had it and no cycle. However the post is to address you. Some doctors will leave you less informed so we cannot say nor be shocked they will. We never probably thought there would be a day we'd see when doctors would operate pain clinics for money verses prescribing pain meds on an as needed basis but some do. Why else would the DEA be involved. So for you to Judge these poor misinformed ladies is unfair and harsh. You should apologize. I understand and know what it's like for someone to tell you one thing then do something else and FYI I DID MY RESEARCH that's why I chose specifically not to have my tubes cut, tied, and burned. My child bearing days were stripped. I pray ladies the Lord heals your bodies so you can bear children and disregard what this post stated from 1 negative person. I am not an employee nor promoter for NovaSure just sharing the experience I had. Still have monthly cramps, cravings, but no cycle!

I have an eight year old perfect daughter. Two years before I had her I too had a TCRE. I was told I would not be able to have anymore children by the gynocologist. When I found out I was pregnant the same gynocologist told me it was impossible he even drew a picture of a womb to show me why it was not possible following the op. After a scan showed I was pregnant his comments were "well that's very interesting" my waters broke at 30 weeks and I had an emergency c section. My daughter was 3lb10 and has no complications what so ever. At no time was I advised of the dangers of having a baby post TCRE.

The thing you are not getting is that people's circumstances change. You are still in your relationship that you made these choices in. Most of us who want to try for a baby after ablation are in new relationships where everything is different and the desire to have a baby together is there. When you are broody for a baby and there is even a slight chance of possibility then most women would go for it. You should not judge others when you are not in the same situation and when you have no understanding.
