I am 19 and I have always had very regular periods (I could predict them to the day). I started using the pill a year ago but I was careless and missed it every few days (but still was very regular). so about 4 months ago I stopped taking it altogether. sometime around then we used a condom but it kind of came off too soon. for months (and especially recently) I have been feeling extremely tired, some days I sleep 15-16 hours if Im not woken up. Also I have gained about 15 pounds since then, mostly around my stomach (unfortunately). but, to make it even more complicated I am on medicine for bipolar disorder although it says I should be losing weight rather than gaining on the side effects. what should I do?? could I still possibly be pregnant?
How late were you when you tested? Some women when coming off of birth control will not be regular for quite some time or in my case never. You might want to get your hormones checked. What are some of the symptoms you are having? And some women also gain weight when they stop taking BC and weight gain may also cause you to have late or skiped periods. I know you prolly dont want to hear it. But there are alot of things that could cause skipped or no periods. I would take another hpt and if it is still negative then go see a doctor. i might be able to give you advice if u let me know your symptoms. I have pcos, hypothyroid, high prolactin, and a pituitary tumor. All of the above will cause irregular periods and i had no clue till i stoped taking birth control. And im only 21. Best of luck to you tho. And if you need any more advice just ask.
