I have a rather unusual problem. I am fairly healthy. I am a 23 year old, and have recently moved to Japan. In the last 6 months I have had three womens exams, two of which included pap smears, an HIV test about 2 months ago (wasnt owrried at all but needed it to move) and alot of blood work. Everything says that I am fine. However, my body doesnt seem to think so. About 3 months ago, I started having black and brown spotting and heavy bleeding about a week before my period should start. I went to the gyn, who said it was vaginitis, gave me a cream to use and I felt better a week later. I had my period, moved to japan, and two weeks later I started spotting black blood again. I swallowed my pride and nervousness, went to the local japanese obgyn who gave me a full inspection, medicine, and cleared me to leave. I got better, got my period, was happy as a lark. Now, one week before my period, I am spotting black blood again! I am so confused! I take ortho-tri, but I am regular and never miss it. I have been taking it for four years without a single problem! I am running out of ideas, and am traveling three hours on a train to get to an American obgyn here in japan to make sure the language barrier doesnt give me any problems. I really am getting worried, this is three months of black blood and no answers! I have limited internet access, but any replies would be appreciated.
thank you
ju
