I had been told i was too young for a replacement also.
I had 3 hip arthroscopes where my joint and ball were both shaved down.
All failed to provide relief and were all. Done within 1 calendar year.
I found another surgeon that said if you need a replacement.....you get one.
I am 39 years old, and will have my left hip replaced in 3 weeks.
He said there is no age restrictions, just the probability of having a revision in 20 years or so.
Keep your head up, get another surgeon. Wishing you all the luck !

I am 33 years old and I am scheduled for a hip replacement in a month. The pain started two years ago and overtime the pain is now worse and has limited my mobility.
I am glad I am not alone in this dilemma and reading about your posts really has encouraged to get my surgery done and get my life back.

I am noticing that one year ago you are in the same position I am currently. I am your age and am looking into THR in my left hip, due to CHD, just like you! How has your journey been in the last year? Have you elected surgery recently? Im interested in having children in the next couple of years but am hesitant now whether I should put off the surgery.
