i had the same experience too, but after a while i understood that the fogginess and the unclarity is actually all in my head. When you last got high, you forgot how the feeling it was to be normal. Once you return to your normal self, you can experience unnatural results which you must just get over. I recommend smoking again to understand the differences between "high" and "normality". Thats what i did to become sane. Now i smoke almost everyday and feel fine. Good luck!

This "surreal" feeling seems to happen to young people who smoke weed (at least thats what I've gathered from reading past posts). 've never had this feeling described on this thread but I started reading because it interested me. I've done a lot of reading about marijuana and how it effects the brain. In one article I remember reading that before your brain fully develops marijuana has the effect of diminishing the volume of you brain in certain areas, especially the hippocampus. BUT in one article based on a scientific study it actually helps create new cells in the hippocampus (in rats). So maybe it has a positive effect on the brain after a certain age, (after fully developing) and a negative age when teens are still growing. This might be why some people experience the "life is just a dream" feeling, especially in young teens. As for me, I've tried weed a couple times before (probably the first time being 16), but I've never gotten properly high until I ate an edible not too long ago (I am 20, almost 21). I have never had these "fake life" feelings, in fact I love the feeling weed gives me, and I don't really have an after-effect. I guess thats why I'm so interested in how weed can negatively effect some peoples' well being. Anyway I just wanted to share my theory…see what other people have to say.

or it might just be the effect of experiencing everything more deeply with the help of weed, then going back to normal life… Everything might just seems much less "real" in comparison to how everything felt so much "better" when high. But I couldn't help noticing that practically everyone posting about this feeling was around 15-16 years of age (and contrasting that to me, being 20 and not getting this feeling).

I got the same exact sh*t. It is all in your head. The more you think about it the more it gets to you. Everything seems fake and like your sleeping at your self concious mind is just playing this dream while everyone is trying to wake up in real life out of a coma or something. That right there is called the brain overuling you. It's all your brain giving you BS. You're fine! so am I!

You are totally fine. That's what being high is all about, a false reality. I smoke on a regular basis, I probably smoke an 1/8th a day. It's a constant feeling, but if you don't like it then weed obviously isn't for you.

okay, i've felt the same way and I have a very good solution. My friends have told me they feel the same way and this has helped. Just smoke a few hits before going to sleep or just anytime, not much to get high high, just 2-3 hits or maybe 1 if its really good cut or a really good hit. after that just do whatever youre gonna do then sleep. When you wake up all that sh*t feeling will stop, and youll feel way better, get a good sleep too!

Duuude, i had a similar experience. I gotten high two times before but the third time i dont know what happened. He did some Gorilla Dro and yeah. i took to really big hits from 1 joint. i felt the effect almost immediatly. My vision was warped. i had done this with a friend and when i looked at him he looked like a cartoon character. i had fish eye view, but he had a big head and little body and arms. At first i thought it was funny and that this wierd effect would pass and everthing would get enhanced and bright, but it didnt happen. I was stumbling and i think i fell several times. after a while i wasnt even there anymore, my mind was in some other place. everything was like a collidascope. it kept moving. i was forgeting reality. Then it got worse, i kept switching from realities. We did this by a creek i9n the park and i think i fell into it. There were three realities i think. one was all sound, the other was touch and sight. The last was i think thought, but it was hard to get into. most of he time i was in the sound one and i could only here wierd sound, then i kept going to physical and sight and i was in the creek. my friend was telling me to chill the f**k out. i tried to move but i felt like it wasnt real. i think i went crazy there ad i started thinking that was hell. i told him to send a message to god to get me out of hell. he got freaked out and called his mom. well yeah as soon as his dad showed up it went away. i swear i think if only my friend had slapped me or something it would have gone away but i just stayed in that wierd reality until his dad showed up. well thats my story, im all better now. just remember that weed is pretty weak and most of the wierd ass effects go away if you reasure your friend and try to get them to do an activity. also i dont know if this is relevant but the other times we did weed wasat ight and this time it was durind the day so i dont know if that affects it or something, but the other two times i did it it was fun. he watched tv, play halo, everything was all pretty, and everything was funnier. no wierd sh*t happend except that i felt as though i was rolling but it passed quickly. usually a change of scenery is what is needed to break out of a state. like when his dad showed up i realized everything was real and that i had just gotten high. the first time i did it i felt like everything was wavy but it passed when we went from watching king kong to playing halo.

Everyone listen up, Weed messes with your head, It takes things away that your brain needs, Such ass magnesium , braincells, messes up the receptors. I was a big pot smoker, smoked pot everyday, and now i am feeling like my life does know longer exist. The worst thing about it is when you want to quit its not like 123, There's this long path you have to walk down first. Which includes, depression, anxiety, hard to keep a conversation going, thinking stupid thoughts non stop. People say everyone's different ?  Yes everyone is different, but we all have a "brain" it functions the same, weed will make you want to kill your self, its a gateway drug, and a life taker, People who read this which have never touched pot, weed, marijuana.  DON'T I'M WARNING YOU NOW.
