I had a c-section 3 months ago and my entire abdomen is still numb to the touch, is this normal?
:-D Yes it is very normal from my experience, it does take some time for it to heal and if you think of the skin cells that have to grow back you can understand.

I had one 19mths ago now and mine is perfectly fine - a word of warning when it starts to grow the cells back and heal it gets quite itchy!!!!

I know my sister in-law had her c-section 21 years ago and her stomach there is still numb, so i guess times have changes and we have much more experienced Drs in this area these days.

You will be fine so just relax and enjoy your wonderful new precious baby, you will heal it all takes time!

XD Ive had 3 c sections. The first one my incision spot was numb nearly 2 years. Second time around I had twins. I gained total feeling. 3rd one which was only 2 months ago I am still numb at the incision site. Take it from a pro. Its normal and you will be just fine. Best time to get yourself yourself a tattoo. It wont be as painful!!! XD

I've had 2 c-sections. My belly from navel to public, and side to side is 100% numb to the touch and it's been almost 4 years. I am not sure I will ever regain feeling. At the same time my uterus is almost non-stop painful. I feel like I have my period every day, and yet I'm told it's nothing to be concerned about.

If you had a "bikini cut" (horizontal right above your pubic region) then yes. I asked my ob and he said that they cut muscle and nerves and since they cut the nerves it gives you the numb feeling, I had a c-section almost 4 yrs ago and 1 2 wks ago and never regained sensation between them!

I had my son 3 years ago and my cut is numb.I did not get a bikini cut and I have been to numerous number of doctors about the pain that I continue to have and I just found one doctor that said I was cut too far up which made it very uncomfortable to even wear pants for hours at a time.I even have a small knot growing on the outside of my cut which is very painful and I am very worried.I am scheduled to see an Kidney specialist before my GYN goes in and reconstruct my cut(whatever that is).If anyone can help me I would love the feedback
