Interesting post! I took accutane when I was 20 for about 6 months. Around that time, had the bleeding from on penis occur. Then after use, had trouble getting erections. I never thought that this was linked to the accutane. I'm 29 and been using viagra for years. Does anyone know if class action has been filed for erectile dysfunction? I noticed there are class actions for bowel diseases. I've also had rectal bleeding through the years, which seems to be caused by accutane but never been diagnosed with bowel disease luckily.
Everyone, I think we are close to solving these problems, what you don't know is that accutane has very similar side effects to propecia, its a hair loss drug. This forum is the place to be, here is my post, my experience and my temporary cure, and some new information. I have done it all, operations on the penis, therapy etc, thats not where the problem lies.

im only 16 and have become impotent :( a few herbs have helped a little but barely. I have a slammin girlfriend who barely turns me on at all. that is probably the most upsetting thing because my libido is just non existent and any other guy would go wild sexually if they saw her. i wish i could get my hormones or androgens or whatever back to normal. ***edited by moderator*** web addresses not allowed this site is people with a very similar problem to ours if not the same. they have hundreds of people and doctors looking for help. the only thing really holding me together is the stories of success and treatments on here. im sorry if you have been affected by this because my life just got flipped upside down in the worst way imaginable. stay strong guys help is on the way

I just thought I would present some data to illustrate that Accutane and
other retinoids definately have anti-androgen activity. Some people's
bodies are set to be broken; they take Accutane and it induces primary
or secondary hypogonadism or both. Because the drug affects androgens
and androgen receptors (in skin, brain, liver, genitalia and elsewhere)
via epigenetic mechanisms, the damage can be permanent or slowly
reversing in a subset of patients.
In animals treated with retinoids, testicular atrophy with spermatogenetic arrest was described:
Toxicology, carcinogenicity, and teratogenicity of some orally administered retinoids.

Most doctors I have seen were of little help. They either shrug their shoulders or say it is psychological or prescribe cialis. But in the propeciahelp website, I found a list of doctors that recognize and treat patients with drug-induced impotence. Among them, Dr John Crisler, DO in Michigan treats men with hypogonadism. Also, Dr Alan Jacobs, MD in New York is a neuroendocrinologist who treats patients with a wide hypogonadism triggered by drugs or other causes.
This is ridiculous,,, I'm on my second treatment of accutane,,, its been 3 years, and I never imagined that this could happen to me... erectile dysfunction,,, just ridiculous...hope this doesn't affect muscle growth either....

i took accutane for about 5 months and about a month or two later i started having this weird sensation in my penis all the time and i do not know why it randomly happened to me one day just sitting on my computer but now i do not know what to do (im 17 btw)
