My wife was former speed addict - at the age of 47 her psychiatrist diagnoised her with ADD - because she had tripped and fell down a couple of times. My wife likes the Adderall - if she doesn't take it she is dead to the world - if she does take it she is up 2-3 days at a time, stuggles to concentrate on things, has accumulated piles all over our home, has no sense of resonsibility, had can not keep a promise to be somewhere on time if she had to.

She says that since her Dr prescribed the medication she must need it. I see a wonderful woman I married 17 years ago turning into a shell of a person, no motivation, no light in her eyes, and can spend endless hours on the computer when she has our home turned upside down with projects she is planning on getting to.

My question - if my wife does not have ADD - would taking Adderall give her the symptoms of having ADD - no focus, unable to stay on track, unable to sleep, irraitable, etc.?

Thank you,

Her Husban
Adderall is almost like speed. Speed usually keeps you awake days on end if it is taken regularily. The staying on track thing varies, but usually a project is started and left. They are ademant on completing a task, but as soon as they drop it their attention is drawn somewhere else. She may be on too high a dose or she's using it as an excuse not to use speed. Either way, if speed was a problem for her in the past, she may want to seek some help with AA or a group like that. I know people who have been through it and it has helped.

Can Adderall and street speed look similar on the urine tests? What does look similar to street speed in urine tests, if anything?
