In the last two weeks I've had my common bile duck to stop up twice and I went through. The first time it was due to gall stone . The second he went in to unblock it and it was crud out of the gall bladder , he also put a bigger stent in. I'm due to have gall bladder out next week. Even at this point eating is something I can't do. I'm on jello diet. I feel bloated and sick if I try to eat. Taking my daily med burn something I think my liver. Just ready to get better somehow..

I just had my gall bladder surgery. I remember the doctor went into a week of delirium. I am home now and have a soapy taste, syrupy saliva, enhanced feeling of tongue and roof of my mouth.

Do you still have this problem? I'm so sorry! I just had mine out 10 days ago and I'm in the hospital with what he says is acid being through? I've had several abdominal surgeries for Endometriosis and I've never felt pain like this.

I am 81 and had my GB removed 9+ months ago. I had big time jet black Diarrhea that lasted for a few days. Hard to believe but there was no smell. After being told what I should eat and not eat, within 2 weeks I was back to eating my regular unhealthy diet, (heavy on Carbs and very low on fruits and vegetables). I am very active, cycling, light weights and table tennis, and not over weight. My bowels were always very regular, once per day, but now they are even more so. The only difference is that I go every day with usually a second small one. Meat fat and Italian do seem to give me acid stomach discomfort. But Tums works fine. From what I have been reading it appears that I am one of the lucky ones.

I had my gall bladder removed a year ago. Great no side effects except a smell. Every so often there is a smell about me as if it's coming through my skin. Is this because a part of my internal workings have been bypassed?

There is something your doctor can give you to help get rid of the diarhea medicine or some powder

I just had my laproscopic cholocystectomy 8 days ago. The surgery went well as far as they told me. I'm getting better and better. For the first 4 days I was unable to have a bowl movement. Stopped taking the pain meds that day at 3pm. Uses some rosemary essential oil on my lower tummy, and finally had a successful movement on day 5. Since then, my stool has been pretty loose, but not horribly bad. The reason for the diarrhea is the fact the your bile now constantly flows into the intestines. Ive heard that for some, an OX bile suppliment helps and is necessary in some cases. Anytime you remove an organ, aside feom maybe the appendix, you have to expect changes. I had the same experiance with others over simplifying the after effects. I will say though, stay away from deep fried, highly fatty foods. I've also read that some end up with a stuck stone in the bile duct. Also, some have reported nerve damage as a result... all things to bring up to your dr. If rhey dont take you seariously, find a better one. Good luck guys
