i'm in the same shoes as all of you, got the shakes so bad i can't type! i tried a lot of vitamin B and even a small amount of diazepam, which is valium, still in big trouble. Any other ideas ? Something natural perhaps ? Can't afford rehab, not sure if I'm strong enough to detox at home. Best to all. xx

im 30 years old and ive been drinking a lot lately especially when i go out to the store or family events-it sucks because i want to be able to go somewhere without feeling anxiety but i cant because i really dont like myself-ive always been made fun of ever since childhood and it sucks because everytime im around people i always think they are talking about me and when i drink those negative thoughts go away-now i noticed that when i have a hangover i shake really bad and my stomach always feels bloated after i go on drinkin for 5 days straight-ive gotten chest pains too where its hard for me to breath-i really do wanna stop drinking but its hard because of the personal problems i have

I wished there was a way to make the shaking go away. I also hard a MRI on the brain and they said everything was normal. I just hope I can get the demons away. I've been in rehab too many times and my life is crashing.

I been drinking 15 to 18 beers a day for about 3 years. Never skipped more than 2 days in a row the whole time.
Now I get night sweats and/or cold sweats if I go a day without drinking. I am self employed, 40 something, work at home, so I drink from the time I get up until I can sleep. If I don't drink enough, I can't sleep at all.
Is it safe to just stop drinking cold turkey?
This just started being a problem the last 6 months or so. Also during that time I went from 190lbs to about 165lbs.
I try to stop, but can't even fill out a Fedex form unless I eat something and drink at least 2 or 3 beers.
Thanks

Eat a lot, when you think your full eat again until you can't take it anymore. Don't worry about obesity. Drink as much water as you can. If you feel tired and sleepy sit on a chair and put your head on the table and take 10-15 minutes nap. Don't go to your bed because you will sleep. Sleep is not what you need, you need napping only. Do not stop drinking immediately but set your goal to reduce the amount on daily basis. If you stop every alcohol to your body immediately, your chances for stroke will increase and that is the worst we don't want. At night drinik much water before you go to your bed. Good luck.

I was wondering the same thing, except my head shakes. I had a cat scan and everything was good.

This is coming from someone who binge drinks (some times 2 weeks at a time). This started to happen years back and people would just say to wait it out- there is nothing you can really do. That is flat out wrong!

Here's the best answer you will find on this thread GUARANTEED! And for those of you that say that "just go see a doctor, or check into a clinic"= NOT EVERYONE CAN DO THAT! =$$. The best would be to quit obviously (and some just flat out wont). What I am offering is HELP for those that need some assistance and understanding.

What you do is a combination of MANY things- make a list of the following(doesn't have to be exact and everything, but obviously the closer the better). #1 Diet: salmon or chicken, spinach, avacados, bananas, milk, V-8, eggs, almond, berries, and anything else you like, but should get most on that list and learn how to incorporate them in your regular diet plan. OBVIOUSLY DRINK A LOT OF WATER BEFORE DRINKING AND TRY AND REMEMBER TO DRINK A LOT BEFORE YOU CRASH! #2 Vitamins: Chelated Magnessium, B-12, and C, #3 Sleep as much as you can- I used to get so anxious and just couldn't which was just compoundi it- Vit D chewables help, but Dramamine (used for motion sickness will do the trick)#4 Exercise You have to stretch daily for sure- as many sit-ups are very important, but try long walks at least three times a week. #5 State of Mind - Most importantly. Find those things that make you laugh or smile- because this obviously has depression/anxiety side effects and those will play on your mind - you need to have those "aces in the whole" you can think of, that will take the shaking down a notch on it's own. That is a big reason some drink as the only way to get rid of the shakes. Sometimes to get back in the state of mind you need to drink- just have #1-through #4 ready.

Believe me this works- I am a Stock Analyst and hold it together and have done this for other people I know who were far worse- I have one friend who was drinking everyday, but after incorporating this plan he is functional drinker. There was no way he was going to stop either- so if you feel you can't stop at least this will help the shakes, it will make you healthier, and you can function. I developed this through experience and years of research.

I have been on a 15 day binge, I was sober dec 22, 23, 24, 25, so happy but I drink because of a rare disease I suffer from persistent sexual arousal disorder basically no matter how many orgasms I have 15 in a row, my clitoris stays hard, I have to have like 15 orgasms wait three hours have 15 more, wait three more hours and more and maybe it will go down, my clit is broken, hello alcohol, the only thing that numbs this throbbing clit is alcohol. We went to NY to see my parents over christmas and husband kids and me were all going to be in a close quarters, so I could not masterbate for 9 days, that really messed me up. I drank like three fifths in Ny, now when we got back drinking a fifth a day. My husband and I are separated, my kids 9 and 10 go back and forth, joint custody.. I am shaking so hard now, my clit is throbbing, so alcohol helps that, it tells my brain your clit is fine, when the alcohol wears off I feel the throbbing, I just want to die, but I have two young kids and I am in a custody battle, which I will lose if I go to rehab. This morning all I could do was masterbate cry to god, but now even orgasms are messed up. I never touched alcohol like 10 years this disease pgad is what makes me drink to cover the pain of that. I am so desperate. I used alcohol to cover illness, but now after like 15 days straight drinking I can't stop on my own, god help me. I want to live but fear death is near. My liver hurts on the right side, I think is liver, plus I take ambien and xanax and vodka to get any sleep, cannot sleep when clit is throbbing, imagine a man with a 24/7 throbbing penis and you cannot come that is my disease, oh the horror. MY husband put up with me for 16 years. He would get like no sex and as celibate I was normal, but menopause started last year and this disease became out of control with hormone shifts. He could not take drinking kept calling cops so I served him divorce papers. I regret it now, because I am alone with plenty of money to drink myself to death. anyone want to write ginnyvaet66 at yah

If you keep drinking it after this point then it is in control of you. Your only solution is to stop drinking. If the idea of quitting drinking altogether scares you then you really need to go see someone for help, you're head.
