Hi,
I have a question. I am an alcoholic. I drink at night and only at night.
Just wine. I quit many years ago cold turkey when I was much younger.
I am 46 yrs old and I have high BP and high cholesterol. I am on meds for those.
I just recently moved to a new city and trying to start my life over again and this is something that I would like to get away from. I will never be cured and AA is not for me. I went that route and went to meetings and read all the books. Walked the walk. But I got very discouraged after sharing in open and private meetings I could not get a sponsor. So I quit and did it my way. I began drinking again after about a year or so.
Anyways, my question is could going cold turkey cause a heart attack???
I was told by a counselor this would happen!
