Hello, I would like to know more about Aldehyde dehydrogenase.
Aldehyde dehydrogenases are enzymes. They have the ability to oxidize specific types of aldehides. The types of aldehides that they can oxidize are aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes. In that process Aldehyde dehydrogenases are using NADP as a cofactor.
There are 4 known classes of Aldehide dehydrogenases:
Class 1 (or Ald C) is a tetrameric cytosolic enzyme.
Class 2 (or Ald M) is a tetrameric mitochondrial enzyme. Class 3 (or Ald D) is a dimeric cytosolic enzyme. Class 4 is a microsomal enzyme.
What can you take to counteract Aldehyde? I mean, what is the best Aldehyde neutralizer?
