I'm 21 years old, for quite a while ive had a problem caused by bowel movements, it started with a very small amount of blood on a tissue when i wiped but it's got worse since
When i pass a particularly hard stool it can give a feeling like passing glass, it has stopped for a few weeks/month and ends up coming back again, the bleeding has got a bit worse but the pain is still the same, the bleeding can sometimes be a big blob of what im pretty sure is all fresh blood, the bleeding sometimes gets worse to the extent it has even dripped from me before but at other times it can be a small amount
I've also had abdominal pains fairly regularly for quite a long time, i've asked a doctor about that though before now and he had a poke about and im pretty sure its just down to my not so brilliant diet!
Is this simply an anal fissure? (that constantly reoccurs) or what other possibilities are there? naturally im trying to pluck up the courage to ask a doctor but im so embarrassed about it :-(

It is not necessarily an anal fissure, hemorrhoids would cause such annoying side effects too.
There is no need to be embarrassed when asking a doc about it, she/he should have checked this as soon as you reported your symptoms.
Abdominal pain is likely to be caused by straining and improper bowel movements.
However, whenever such problems occur, it is essential to have it checked because hemorrhoids symptoms like pain and bleeding could also indicate other bowel problems.
