Husband had half of his right large colon removed in April. Since then he has been getting back to a normal digestion. Except for this nagging problem of bottom burning like a match is lit there after movements, and sometimes passing gas. Doctor has put him on so many different salves. Then suppository that haven't touched it. The last medicine was a prescription for antibiotic salve which we thought was helping. That with sitz baths is relief for the moment, until he goes another movement. We thought he was getting better, then it flares up once again. Help!!! He is at his wits end. He's been examined each time we go to the doctor. Fischer is the diagnosis. Then a slight infection was noticed so the antibiotic cream was scripted. Any suggestions for relief would be so appreciated. Thank you GG
Hi,

this is just in regards to the very last bit of your post. About the fischer diagnosis. Doctor Oz on Oprah said that the best way to stop anal fischers is more water and more fibre. I dont know if that will stop the whole problem?? But try taking up to 2 litres of water a day and lots of fruit and vegies..
good luck
