Well, such pains could be coming from ovarian cysts. They usually react around periods or ovulation. I had terrible pains in the lower abdomen that was radiating to my thighs. It was because I had one polycystic ovary that was causing all this trouble. I was put on birth control pills to remove these cysts and for the last few months I have been pain free.
Such stabbing pains could be coming from pudendal nerve entrapment. This nerve is in charge of all the pelvic region and is communicating with all the organs in the pelvic region. When it is trapped, it could be causing such stabbing pains but I am not sure if it would occur just during periods or at any time.
There are many other possible reasons that could be causing pain in the area. You could be suffering from endometriosis since you have bleedings from the rectum as well. Endometriosis is a disorder in which lining of the uterus grows during cycle on places other than uterus like ovaries, bladder and bowels. It can cause a lot of problems because this lining wants to leave the body during period but it has no place to go if it formed on bowels and you could be having bleeding from rectum during your period because of this. You better turn to your doctor to see what is going on.

i have many friends who have described the pains you are having. I experience them as well. I have endometriosis, but none was found on my bowel, so I dont think the pain is a result of endometriosis, atleast not in my case.
I also experience these shocking pains while on my period. they are the worst thing in the world! i even miss school becuase of them once in a while. im going to see a doctor tomorrow i think. you probably should too.
My 11 year old daughter has been complaining about pain after she pees and poops. (this is the only time she has the pain) I took her to the doctor about 3 months ago and she recommended a diaper rash cream. Well that did nothing for her. So I had her try monistat. That worked for a little while but still the pain is there. Does anyone think that it could be her going through the cycle? Thats what I think. But can't really find any information. When she was 3 she had a problem with bubblebaths and fragrances. So she can only use dove soap and fragrance free laundry detergents. I was wondering how I should proceed? Tonight she said that she had blood on the TP after she pooped. MY OB says she wont see her because she is too young but only if her doctor recommends her. I will make another appointment tomorrow with her regular doctor but I was looking for other advise. I just feel she is young and I don't want too many people poking around and making her selfcontious. She is very shy as it is. I have only had vaginal problems when I was pregnant. So I think it is something other than yeast infection. She is maturing and growing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
