Hi Chloxx, Funny (not funny) you should say that. I had to leave work 2 hours into my shift.today because I could not handle it. I was irritable angry sore and emotionally depleted. I went in for a physical basically to be offered birth control and be told its mental. :( I did the primrose oil for a few months but did not feel it helped. So, the next thing I wanna try that someone on here mentioned worked well it ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** posting of web addresses is not allowed*** Please read our Terms of Use. Someone else on here had mentioned going off BC after being on a long time is like going through menopause and post pardom depression. It is terrible. Hang in there. Eventually we will even out. ^^

I have gotten used to the head pressure thing - I think I have just adapted to it so it doesnt bother me as much.Honestly, this month has been so hard :(I was feeling better a few months ago but I feel like I am going through post pardom depression and menopause.. Ive never had kids but I am having all the symptoms. It is messed up. As another poster suggested we need to drink A TON of water and flush out all the toxins. I believe this will all pass it is just gonna take time. Just rememember you are not alone.I was crawling out of my skin month 3 and was tingling pretty bad ...I am passed that now. So, it gets better but like a above poster stated..then you may get hit with another symptom. You just have to remember this too shall pass. It is just gonna take time.

Unfortunately not yet! My natural path said this week so I am constantly reloading my emails to see if its in.. I’m desperate lol. Not sure what the next step will be if they are off but hopefully something that will help and quickly. I deff agree with you about the post partum depression which makes me worried when some day I get pregnant if this will happen to me again :(

Hi Everyone,

SO today I received the results of my DUTCH sex hormone test which is hormones evaluated through urine. Back story: I went off birth control in February, three days later felt like I was losing my mind, had anxiety everyday. Then went on Cipralex, after being on it for a two months, I decided to go off of it because I realized that my birth control might be the cause of these problems. I then experienced anxiety and depression as well as intrusive thoughts. My blood work for hormones came back normal, I still didn't believe I so I went to a natural path. I told her what was happening, ive had anxiety, racing thoughts, numb/sweaty hands and feet, insomnia, brain fog, headaches, intrusive thoughts, depression, jitternous inside my body, heart palps, weird boob aches, periods that were not normal cycle, dizziness and I am sure im missing some symptoms.

My urine test revealed that I have Post Menopausal hormone levels......I am 21 years old.

Progesterone:

My b-pregnanediol is 178---- the range is 600-2000 (AKA WAY under)

My a-Pregnanediol is 80---- the range is 200-740 (once again WAY under)

Estrogen:

Estrone is 10.5--- range is 12-26 (Under)

Estradiol is 1.48-- range is 1.8-4.5 (Under)

ALSO.... My androsterone (testosterone) is sky high at 2459 when it should be between 200 and 1650... (My face is a mess with acne).

I will be starting bioidentical hormones this week to bring my levels up!! Hopefully that helps. I will further update everyone :)

Wow i am so happy for you that you finally got some answers! I think we need to all do the same as you since traditional western medicine is failing us. Please let us know when you’re improving! Was your insurance able to cover that urine test or did you have to pay out of pocket for everything? Thank you!

Wow, that makes my jaw drop. I’m wanting to do the same. Yes, please let us know the cost for the test.

Wow, I’ve been dealing with almost every symptom you stated. When you say periods not a normal cycle do you by chance mean they are shorter than they used to be? Mine are about every 3 weeks since stopping and they are semi-light/short.

Hey it’s chloxx...

I get my periods every 31-32 days and super heavy first day, next day lighter, and then hardly there by the third! How long have you been off?

Hey! the cost of the test was 300 dollars through my natural path and was not covered by insurance but SO worth it.

Chloxx, thanks for the info. I have been off since February too and it’s been the worst months of my life with heavy anxiety and then intrusive thoughts that came out of no where. I am going to look into getting that test done. I want to just feel normal again. It’s so emotionally draining. I thought I’d feel more normal by now. Sometimes I doubt it’s the stopping of BC because this issue drags on. Did your naturopath say how long you’d have to take the bio identifical hormones before your body would be healed? Had she encountered this type of situation before? I don’t understand why it’s so “unheard of”. Also I wish I understood why healing/balancing takes so long.

My natural path said she’s never seen levels like this after coming off birth control but she has also never tested someone this close coming off. She thought I would be taking bio identical for about 6-8 months before weaning off of them and then hopefully my body will do the work it’s suppose to in order to maintain the levels.

I totally agree that I thought I should be feeling normal by now, or at least normal most of the time but it’s far from that lately. I went to the doctor the other day and she wanted me to go back on birth control instead of the bio identical ones... like I don’t think so! Birth control is a band aid on a bigger problem.
