Absolutely it is from the Flonase. Flonase just about ruined my life. I started using Flonase and with in a week or so starting having severe anxiety which I had never had before. I had no idea it was the Flonase and continued to use it for a year. I ended up at the psychiatrist thinking there was something really wrong with me. I eventually ran out of Flonase and within about three weeks started to return to normal. I then went to the urgent care for a sinus infection and the urgent care doctor told me Flonase would not cause this, so I started using the Flonase again and with in four days I had a severe anxiety attack while driving and had to use Ativan to bring myself back down. I immediately stopped using the Flonase and within two days was almost back to normal. Flonase definitely causes anxiety and don't let anyone tell you different. I know it doesn't cause it for everyone but it definitely does or some of us and it's a very scary thing.

My doctor also told me that Flonase does not cause anxiety-RUBBISH! Why don't they listen to their patients? You are right, absolutely it is the Flonase. Thank goodness you know what caused it now.

Any cortical steroids can cause anxiety. Had the same issue w Flonase.

I have been taking Flonase for seasonal allergy relief since 2015. Just last week I noticed I had had a headache for about a week, rapid heart rate, confusion, dizziness, tingling in my left arm and leg, flushing of my face and nosebleed. I went to the hospital via ambulance thinking I was having a heart attack. By the time I got to the hospital, my heart rate and blood pressure had returned to normal. I am so glad I found this forum or I would have thought I was going crazy. I stopped taking Flonase immediately and am just starting to feel better. I will NEVER take it again.

I feel like flonase is making me anxious too plus brain fog. I've been on it for 12 days with just a morning dose. I tried it a few weeks ago with a morning and night dose and it definitely gave me insomnia/racing thoughts at night! No thank you! I quit taking it for awhile but decided to try just the morning dose. Now I'm noticing the anxiety especially at work. I'm done. Its too much. No more flonase for this girl.

A few months ago, I started using 2 sprays of Flonase at night and was able to breathe so much better and I didn't need any other allergy meds anymore. I'm not sure of the timeline because I didn't teals the correlation but I had back to back panic attacks while using it. Soon after, nosebleeds started so I discontinued use. My anxiety was better but my asthma was bad and A friend told me that it was normal to have nosebleeds with Flonase so about a month later (2 weeks ago maybe) I started taking 1 spray in each nostril twice a day with only one really bad nosebleed about a week ago but with increasing anxiety that I chalked up to exhaustion. then two days ago, I had 4 or 5 panic attacks... unable to breathe, lump in the throat feeling, feeling of impending doom, emotional distress, elevated heart rate, fatigue, inability to catch my breath, and trembling. I nearly lost my job. I just found this page after having taken it this morning. I am discontinuing use and will check back here in a month or so with an update.

I started taking Flonase approximately two months ago, I've had anxiety, panic attacks, lightheadedness, and headaches. How long does it take for the side effects to go away ?

Do you mean do the side effects go away eventually if you keep taking it? If you are still on it, you will still experience these effects, so far as I know. If you quite taking it you will get improvement. After a couple of weeks I felt improvement, but it still took months. Some other people who have posted on this site have, however, had it go away in days after stopping Flonase. I hope this helps.

I was recently prescribed Flonaze nasal spray. For about a week now I have felt the need to need to take more of my low dose blood pressure meds at night because after I do my Flonaze nasal spray in each nostril my heart rate seems to go out the roof at bed time every night making me scared to death to fall asleep. I'm afraid I'm going to have a heart attack because my heart I beating so fast. It DOESN'T do this during the day. I told my husband last night I feel like this only at bed time right after I take my Flonaze one spray to each nostril. So I was going to Google Flonaze tomorrow & not take it tomorrow so I can start taking it in the mornings instead of at night but now I know it's the Flonaze so I refuse to take it anymore nomatter how well its been working for me. I cant stand how i feel from my heart racing so fast afterwards of using Flonaze navel spray.

I have been taking Flonase for at least 6 mo. I have no panic attacks. Just with all the allergy meds I do find myself sleepy. I have never been a nap person. I have fallen asleep on my computer keyboard 2 times this week.
