Thank you guys for all your posts oh my God I have had all these problems dizzy tired at times feeling faint I've been on this stuff for some time now at times I have problems sleeping all night my moods have changed this is not me.

Anxiety is awful with flonase for me too! Stupid me tried it again due to recent severe sinus allergy symptoms and the anxiety came right back. It also makesme me crave sweets, but that could be the anxiety. I told my doc and she said she never heard of anxiety as a sude effect of Flonase. No doubt for me it's awful. Takes about 4 to 7 days to go away once I stop the Flonase. Never again!!

I believe my 5yr old grandaughters recent insomia is caused by her prescribed flonase. Poor dear couldn't fall asleep for several hours and awoke 2 times during the night.

I realize this is anecdotal, but I have a very strong suspicion that my panic attacks may have been caused by the use of Flonase. I started using the Flonase and two days later had the first and worst of what would become 22 panic attacks over 8 days. I was in the ER twice, the first time after managing to call 911 and telling the operator to help me because I was dying. I thought I was having a heart attack. EMTs bashed in my front door to get to me and take me to the ER, but the doctor said my heart attack symptoms and feelings of impending death was typical of panic attack. In the following days I tried to find out as much as I could about panic attack because like most of the general public, I was clueless as to what a panic attack was or what caused them. During my research I came across some references by others who had had attacks they thought might have been caused by the use of Flonase. I was six days into my ordeal by then, but immediately stopped using the Flonase. Two days later, the attacks stopped as suddenly as they had begun. After 22 attacks in 8 days, it’s hard for me to ignore the possible connection.

Yes , it sure does make a me anxious first day of use , and what is really irritating is there are so many people that have this side effect yet it is not mentioned on even web md as a side effect and your doctor will tell you it isn't a side effect , goes to show you how educated our medical professionals are.. Do your own research and honesty blogs like these have usefull info because these are real life tires the medicine ourselves opinions here. Good Luck to you all , be your own medical advocate or your Dr may evidently kill you.

I agree. When you spray up your nose don’t let it go any higher than the lower part of your nose. Then wipe whatever comes out. Don’t swallow it! It will still help but won’t get in your entire system so much.

Finally I can confirm that my anxiety attack is from Flonase. My ENT doctor gave me Flonase to use and by the 2nd and 3rd day I started to wake up around 3am or 4am in the morning and I was not able to sleep after. I felt a bit anxious at the time. By the 4th day I had a very serious anxiety attack. It happened after I finish my dinner and I felt like vomiting and my whole body feel so uncomfortable and I start running toward my front door looking for cold air. I went to bathroom and use the cold water to cool my body down. My arms and legs start shaking. I call 911 after and then the ambulance came and took me to the hospital. ER doctor can’t tell what’s wrong with me. They said that my heart beat and blood sugar was a big too high and they waited for it to come down before letting me go home. Once I got home then I got another attack again. I was not able to sleep all night. I started to feel uncomfortable after eating food by the 5th and 6th day and by the 7th and 8th day I was not able to eat any food any more. I put the food in my mouth and I want to vomit. I can only eat one tea spoon of food every few hours and my body can only take water by this time. Today is the 9th day and I am getting redness on my skin. Can’t sleep, can’t eat, want to vomit and anxiety attack now redness on my skin. I know something is very wrong. Thank you everyone for the articles. This week had been a nightmare to me. I never have anxiety attack in my whole life and I am miserable beyond speech. I will stop using Flonase tonight and I am going to drink lots of water and hopefully to remove un-wanted Flonase out of my body.

Did you tell the ER staff you were taking Flonase? Can't seem to convince medical personnel of the dangers of this drug, perhaps if enough of us report it. There are some good posts on here back a ways for things people have used to get them over the worst of the Flonase symptoms. One post was by someone named Cliff who gave a list of what he took that worked well for him. I think you can search this site. If you can't find it let me know, I took notes. Hang in there, some of us take a long time to get over this drug.

I started feeling blue and anxiety ridden too and it started after using Flonase. This is tricky stuff and it sort stopped working to reduce the swelling too. It seems like my body is rejecting it. It must affect the thyroid because it make me jumpy too. H

I’m almost a year into my recovery from flonase. I’ve gotten way better, before was unmanageable (I was A few hospital visits away from asking to be committed). I noticed with mine, the symptoms came in waves. Severe panick attacks, vivid crazy dreams, dizziness, loss of appetite... they all subsided tremendously. But it was a longgggg recovery process for me. I think mine heightened because before quitting, i was using the very last of an old bottle. There’s days I still have minor residue but it’s managable. Hang in there everyone. I really pray they recognize this drug for what it is. It altered my life horribly and doctors refuse to see the connection. One day, like every other drug they eventually pull off the market, I’m certain Flonase will be one.
