My 35 yr old son recently had an emergency appendectomy on 4/3/07. Every since he has ran a low grade temp along with the bottom of his feet being blood red, swollen ankles, knees & elbow joints. He had some blood test ran & his sed level was up. They told him to take ibuprofen. Now the office of the doctor that did his surgery has called & informed him his CT scan from earlier showed a spot on his lungs but wait for 3 months & recheck it. Is there some possible relation to all of these things. Would you please give us some feed back on this & does he need to be more aggressive with the spot on his lungs.
Hi, I had and appendicitis on February and they put me under antibiotics and pain killers for a month, no surgery cause the CT was not clear and they could not see the appendix at all. This caused that the infection passed through all my abdomen cavity and my lungs filled up with fluids and took me 3 months to recover from that. be very careful with this!!! months later in may finally the appendectomy was scheduled and as was still infected had severe complications with my reproductive organs the appendix was tangled with the tubes and uterus. now I'm OK and recovering. my scar is 6 inches long. I'm alive and that is what counts but be careful with your son's lungs could be part of the infection in there.
