I don't think that they are, but it's a good idea to have a doctor check them out to make sure that they're not. Let me know what s/he says, okay?

I have had this symptom for just over a year now, the doctor gave me cloxacillin sodium and fusidic acid cream for it and told me when the lumps got smaller I should get them surgically removed. The medication did work after a week or so but i procrastinated on getting the lumps removed as i thought they would eventually disappear on their own. It looks like they definately need to be taken off by the surgens. I look forward to hearing from anyone who has some success stories on this.

I'm 13 and I have the same thing.
And its disgusting.
I've never had acne before, and at first i thought it was that or something.
Plus, they feel disgusting, and I just have this thing for lumps behind my ears..blah.
They dont itch which is weird but they're red and blotchy and I probally should go to the dr..but I was wondering if its something normal?
Oh,Idontknow.

Hi Guys,
I have been getting cysts and painful spots behind my ears and I also had a cyst at the bridge of my nose which got so badly infected I was in hospital for a while so I totally understand your fears. I have been on antibiotics (minocycline/flucloxacillian/erymothycin) for about ten years and they keep them at bay but still come back now and again i have had to be cut with a scalpel lots of times to drain the c**p out.Along with 1 minocycline once a day I also I started taking 1 evening primrose 1000mg and 1 flaxseed 1000mg capsule once a day about 8 months ago and they do help, they have cleared my skin up a lot and I have not had to be cut since (touches wood!) I have the occasional spot behind ear which worries me but if I dont mess about with it they eventually go on their own! (which is easier said than done-i know its hard not to but it definitly makes it worse). Anyway I hope this helps somebody out there

hi
i am going through the same problem and overheating from time to time but these bumps are probably just white blood cells building. i have tonsilitis at the moment which has caused my white blood cells to increase quite drastically making a pea sized bump appear on the back of my left ear. i am 16 years old and was quite worried at first but apparently its my bodies way of fighting of diseases or something like that. either way you should be fine :-)

Hello there! I got the same problem just yesterday. 2 lumps both behind my right ear. When I touch them it hurts. While reading other posts I think that I shouldn't worry. I was thinking that it could be the milk that I drink last night, the taste doesn't feel good, because it was not refrigerated for the whole day. This is the first time that I encountered this kind of problem, so I'm a little worried. And I didn't tell my mom, becaue she's always exaggerating about small problems. If it's not that serious I'm not telling her. Hope this lumps will go aawy soon hopefully.

i have recently got tiny bumps on the skin behind my ears too. but now i think it spread to the front of my ears. they're not itchy or anything and they kinda feel like goosebumps. i thought it was from a new pillow case my mom switched out when we came back from korea, but my dad thinks it's just from sweat and being too hot lately. idk but it feels disgusting cause they're bumps!! >.< ugh

hey,
i'm only 15 and i have like 3 lumps behind my ear they go in like a diagonal line and im kinda freaked out cause ever since they came ive had a headache, they hurt and ive shown my mum she thinks they are just flea bites but i dont think they are cause flea bites are smaller then the ones i have, someone else thinks it was cause by nits....now that i would be happier with......but i dont have nits so i no its not nits......i put ice on them today and they kinda went down a little but im still a bit worried that they are worse then i think.....i got the top of my ear pierced about 3 months ago probebly 2 months ago im not 100% sure but it keeps getting infected cause people keep hitting it by accident, would that have anything to do with the 3 bumps like could my limph nodes be fighting off the infection....ive had these bumps before but i didnt know what they were when i found them ages ago either and they went down so i'd just like a second opinion on my theory, that my limph nodes are fighting off the infection from my recent ear piercing....
thanks :-)

I took my daughter to the doctor about 7-8 days ago and found out that she has an ear infection at just 11 months old, terrible right!? I noticed a change in her mood drastically, from over excited all the time to extreme fit throwing out of nowhere.
The doctor prescribed amoxicillin for her, which of course I hate but for her sake and to help reduce the pain, I agreed with. Now, about 30-45 minutes ago I discovered rather large lumps on her skull right behind the middle part if her ear on either side. Firm but still slightly soft.
I'm not sure what this could be? Side affects of amoxicillin for a child of her age?, just her lymph glands trying to rid the infection?, or maybe completely unrelated? Who knows...but I will find out and definitely be back to tell you all tomorrow. Hoping to clear some things up!

Oh!!! I'm the one with the 11 month old. Almost forgot, not red, she doesn't itch them, and doesn't seem bothered other than by her ear infection I think...only messes with her infected ear, which is her right one. And they seem almost bone-like? Like the outer bone on your wrist? Hard to explain, and very strange. Will return with answers 
