I haven't lived long enough to know what I would have liked to have done with my whole life..... I enjoy what I do for a living but I also think there are a lot of other things out there I probably would have enjoyed just as much if not more.

I spent most of my life as an electronics tech but I also taught electronics. I drove big rigs a little and now I'm a crossing guard for the school system. I enjoyed all of those and I think what you like changes over time. My passion was electronics beginning when I was 10 but by the time I was 60 I was getting sick of it. Truck driving was a lot of fun but with what they have to put up with now with all the government intrusion and satellite tracking I don't know why anyone would want to do that. I love meeting the kids and parents as a crossing guard especially the kids whose parents let them go by themselves. You can watch them develop personalities that the ones whose parents keep on a leash never do.

Yes and no. I really like what I do, but I'd like to do it a lot less, maybe part-time and ease into full time retirement. I've discovered that I like playing a lot more than working, but working provides the necessary $$ to play. Financially, we're not quite ready to retire. But I'm counting the days.

Homeschooling my son, not having a real job - yep

Living in a rental - nope

Living in the DC area - yep...but I might enjoy living in CA, too. :)

Work: Pretty much. Of course in IT, I'm lucky to still have a niche

Non-work: 50/50

Like my job just don't like my environment. I work in one of those offices with urban sheak Herman Miller Desks where no one has a cubicle or office and we're all out in the open. Not a bad idea for some people but I'm a writer and distraction sucks.

It's also bad for trying to get on message boreds like this one and trying to be too discreet.

I would much prefer working from home. A little more money would help but I imagine everyone has that complaint.

Yes (mother) and no (what I do when I'm not mothering). I am where I need to be (school) though to get me to where I want to be later (working).

And that being a mom thing, I so love that part of my life. Where ever else I am and whatever else may be going on, they are my focus, and they make me try harder to be who and what I want to be when I grow up. They are my inspiration, my motivation, my heart.
