I am 17 years old and I think I might have bv also and I think I've had it for a while. Personal hygiene is so important to me and I've tried all the home remedies nothing is working. I need to tell someone but I'm really embarrassed because my mom has three girls and has never talked to us about anything that goes on down there... not even our period. I don't feel comfortable talking to her about it and I don't know what to do.
Go to your doctor. They can either give you gel to apply intravaginal called metro gel or give you an antibiotic called flagyl. I do not believe there are any home remedies that work. Also douching will not make it go away.
