i just had my gallbladder surgery over just a week ago and want to take a bath how soon can i take one.
Feel free to call your surgeon to get their specific advice, but I was cleared to take baths as I desired. If your surgery was performed laparoscopically, you'll likely have white surgical bandages on your incisions covered up with regular band-aids. Remove the band-aids but don't touch the surgical bandage. Clean gently over the area and when you're out of the tub allow the bandages to dry before covering them up with regular band-aids again.
Keep an eye out for any discharge or blood that may indicate an infection. Yellowing or bruising of the skin around the incision sites is normal.
When you have your post operation check-up, your surgeon will remove the surgical bandage.
