I got this surgery done in August 2014. 6 months before the surgery, I had this pain in midnight and did not take it seriously. I went to a local hospital then and they injected some pain killers then. They told me that there might be some torsion in nerves, which is not serious. I again had this pain 20-25 days before surgery, again in midnight, and then again I went to the local hospital. They applied a drip and injected more pain killers this time. As this time, the pain was severe, I took it seriously and went for tests as told by local hospital as well. Just fyi, I masterbated normally, but I am not sure if this is related to it. I went to 3-4 hospitals here, referred to some specialists, and got to know about the problem, it was nerves swollen on the left spermatic cord, right was fine. The Bipolar Ultrasonography maily helped to detect this problem. I took some medication prescribed by some hospital to see the status before surgery, for 10 days and had this severe pain after every 36 hours. After I finalised my surgeon (a private well known surgeon in Chandigarh, India), I changed my medication, to be taken for 10 days before surgery. During these 10 days, I had no pain (which makes me think that the medication before was triggering the pain).
The surgery explained by this surgeon was that he will cut some veins (affected ones) on the left spermatic cord, and as per American standards, do the same on right side, just to avoid to happen on right side later.
The surgery went well (rested for 10 days on bed) and I had no pain till today, 2 august 2015. Today, after I went to toilet, to empty my stomach, I felt a pain near my left kidney. The pain went for 15 minutes, and later it started diminishing, and finished after some time. As today its Sunday, I will visit the same surgeon tomorrow, or may be on Saturday, to checkout whats happening. Just fyi, I masterbate normally now as well.
