I recently started a work out routine. I walk away the pounds for 30 to 45 min and then do anywhere from 25 to 50 sit ups every morning. I was in the shower the other day and thought I cut my bellybutton with my nail but I could not find a cut. 2 days went by and still had a little discomfort. Last night I cried myself to sleep and felt a little lump in the top of my bellybutton inside. It felt like something was going to come through my bellybutton and it was a burning pulling pain. Is this a hernia? Or did I just pull a muscle in my bellybutton. I need help! Should I see a doctor or let it heal on its own?
By the way I am 29 year old women.

In all honesty, I'm not sure, but generally attribute a burning pain to some kind of infection, especially if there's also a lump. I'd suggest seeing a doctor.
Do you have crunches in your abdominal? This can be from your workout and it can be hernia, but it does not show any side affect like big pain in stomach. This also can be related with you colon, You need to check it with a doctor. If it is colon, than you might need to remove your big colon. Keep us posted on your condition.
I agree with the assessment of others that it is possible that this is a hernia. It can feel like a slight twinge like you are describing--although at first, it may also feel like a a muscle pull. You might want to wait for a week without exercising for a bit to see how it goes and if it recovers. If not, then it is something that you will want to check with your doctor on. Please keep us posted on how you are feeling.
