Hi, I have problems with biting and need some more information on bite balancing and equilibration. I have loose teeth, and since then I have chewing problems because I can’t close my jaw properly. Is this method reliable in bringing back jaw abilities?

Hi, I know a method called occlusal equilibration, which is used to correct excess biting pressures. This can be due to loose or shifting teeth, other cause include teeth that are hitting too hard or incorrectly. When balancing of biting is regulated a loose tooth can tighten. To have a bad bite means that your upper and lower teeth do not come together in a stable way. Your jaw needs to have proper support against the skull, in which no teeth hit harder than any other teeth. The reason can lie in a missing tooth, misaligned teeth, misaligned back teeth, or too short teeth. Malocclusion is anme for a bad bite. Sophisticated methods of diagnosis are required to choose most appropriate reatment for malocclusion.
