Hi Guys well I had my baby boy back in Dec. 2014 I had my iud (mirena) implanted march 2015, I just recently had it removed end of Jan-2018 and about 2 days after I had my IUD removed, I began to bleed heavy. It was so bad I was having to change my pad every hour on the hour if not, I would bleed through. I'd never had a period that horrible nor heavy as that one. We are TTC and want it to happen soon. But I am just curious if that bleeding is considered an actual menstrual cycle? Because while I had the the mirena I didn't have any periods. And how soon is to soon to take a pregnancy test?
The same happened to me! Seeing my ob tomorrow. I’m tired of wearing pads! Been 3 weeks now since bleeding! I want to do this to my body anymore
I’ve had my IUD removed 8 days ago. The day after I started bleeding it wasn’t bad it then I started having massive clots and bleeding through everything. I hope it doesn’t last too long. I’ve come to conclusion it could possibly be my body flushing out from the “fake pregnancy”
Im having the same problem huge golf ball sized clots i had mine removed a week ago. And im still clotting not bleeding as heavy as i was though i was wearing tampons and pads at the same time changing evey 1.5 hours

i dont know what they told you. but, there is hormones in this device. the paragarde doesn't have hormones. mirena does. Reference: I am a nurse
I have had coil in for 14 years and had no bother with it and no periods I have had it taken out and have not stopped bleeding for nearly a week is this normal?
I had my coil removed after 14 years of bliss no cramps no periods I'm 54 and was told I was going through menopause so I had it removed I have never stopped bleeding since and very heavy and cramp pains for a week what's happening?
That’s what I’m looking for. I got mine removed over a month and a half ago because it was expired and have yet to have a period.

I too had my IUD in place for 5 months because my periods were all heavy every 20 days, just how my cycle was. I am 47 years old and thought for 5 years this was going to be great for me. Well I was ALWAYS spotting and by breasts constantly hurt. So 4 days ago I had it removed. I had never heard of the Mireana crash and so far I am fee!ing ok almost better than ever. I just started bleeding today so I am waiting to see whats in store. Thank you for sharing and I will most likely update this post in a few days depending on my symptoms.
hi I just had the mirena removed after have it inserted for every 5 years which was 15 ears I finally took it out two weeks ago and 3 days after I started bleeding and it will be two weeks Saturday and it slows down and then it picks up again, is this normal. email me at _[removed]_ very worried my doctor say cause it was in for so long my body is catching up.
the exact same thing with me: constant spotting and bleeding with mirena, so decided to remove it.two days later heavy bleeding and blood clots. i had paragard right after i delivered the result was 7 months of non stop bleeding ,dr switch me to mirena and assured me i will be ok.she was dead wrong.

Did u go on birth control did the bleeding stop? If ut did how long after my doctor is tellinf me the same thing.
