Believe me...I KNOW what you mean. I feel like a freak of nature because of this, but let me tell you I have Hidrandenitis suppurativa for 43 years. I had MANY surgeries at U.C.S.F. being told I have worse than anybody there has seen. I had the operations under my arms, breasts and in the groin areas...........all that did was give me scar tissue. When a infected gland tries to come through the scar tissue...YIKES, we are talking pain and depression ! I had two beautiful girls, the best days of my life, they have it too, and struggle like nobody's business ! I am so sorry you have this horrible thing, it is hard to talk about it, I am now 55 and still battle everyday ! It is disgusting. Your husband loves you, having a baby ( I love it ) and really many doctors are aware of this, none know how to treat it ( I was the TESTER at UCSF and failed miserably , and that hurt worse than the disease it self. So please dont worry about anyone in the medical field seeing this, the baby is such a gift, they will NOT even be looking at your scars. I hope you have a pleasant delivery. Best wishes honey !
I have tried to respond to you at least six times my emails keep getting lost or a disappear somewhere. Please email me so I can give you all the things that I tried and let you know what times work and which ones didn't.

Just wanted to comment on how horrible it is that so many people have this terrible issue and that the majority of our physicians blame it on weight without offering any other treatment other than 'lose weight.' I have had this issue since I hit puberty. Yes, I am overweightnow and my gp has also told me that I simply need to lose weight to correct this....how do you explain that I have had this before gaining weight? Just another example of the medical community failing their patients!
I have mostly the blackheads. I never bothered to ask about it because I assumed it was because I got fat and my thighs rubbed together. I sometimes get the boils but not often.
I finally decided to google because I saw a photo of a thin woman on WebMD on a page about some other girl trouble.
Certain Dri? As in that super deodorant that I have to get from Canada for my weird armpit that turned outbyi be stress? The roll on itches like mad. Does it really work? I did try a benzoil peroxide lotion that was too strong for my face. It seemed to be working but I ruined several pairs of panties. I'm now trying acne free sal acid spray. I may add the certain dri solid which itches less.
I had no idea this was so common or that men and thin women also had it. Now I really have to work on it if lodkbg weight isn't a cure.
