Why do people answer a question with a question. I came here looking for answers but only found a ton of "responses" saying that they "have the same thing". That doesn't help us when we are looking for answers or others' personal experience and resolutions that they have found.

100% agree...and never a follow up, as many posts are old.

I have been reading through posts because of puffiness in my daughter's neck. I found list of many meds that can interfere with gland, even if it remains healthy; steroids, and adrenaline -anasthetic used by dentists, meds containing iodine, oestrogen (in contraceptive pill and HRT) out of a very long list. This would potentially seem to apply to many of the situations folks have mentioned.
Hope this helps!

Ill update as i find out what is up.

I drink and I have found that when I drink too much or eat salty foods it gets swollen. I think itst water retention

I have the same thing it has been over a year and not any diagnosis yet. I have had pet scans blood work and X-rays. Oncologist and endocrinologist don't have any answers. It seems to be getting larger and I just feel hideous! Sometimes it is painful and I feel a choking sensation from it. Just want answers!

I too have the swollen glands on both sides of my neck. I don't drink, but I do eat a lot of salty foods, ergo, I drink a lot of water. Maybe it IS water retention. Is salt the common denominator here?

I just have to say this these aren't swollen glands though it's more like fluid retention, everything I have has done currently shows the nodes to be normal. At least 8 docs over the years have looked and never seem to get overly concerned especially when i tell them how many years i have had this. Fat pads have been ruled out also. I personally think this is something to do with the spine...i have my reasons thru deductions but the docs just look at you like you dont know what your talking about...
YET...they cant give you an answer even with all the technology...so maybe it isnt something to overly worry about...at least in my case.

This too has entered my mind....i have noticed if i have something around my neck and it gets warm enough to sweat a little it goes down in size. I could tell that to the doctor but I'm sure he would just look at me and go uh huh...lol

I too have swelling on both sides around the collarbone, a feeling of fullness in my ears with some neck and head pain. No other symptoms. I feel good otherwise. Hoping to hear someone find a reason for this.
