same issue. swelling on both sides of my neck just above the collar bone. I can't relate anything to it getting worse or better but at time it hurts to have a shirt resting on the swollen area. My sinus's seem to be draining more when the welling is worst but don't seem to be sick.

Thank you re the Madelung Disease suggestion I've been going through lots and lots of different threads ,my complaints are very similar to all the folk here ,had ct's ultrasounds etc the dr's did not seem concerned ..Yes I did drink quite heavily following my husbands death 5 yrs ago only stopped last month and upon researching Madelungs I do think that is what is happening to me .I'm hopeful stopping drinking will halt the fatty deposits ..

Wow, I just noticed this very same thing this evening. It’s only on my right side though. It appeared out of nowhere halfway through the day.

Don’t drink much, no thyroid problems, had a hysterectomy in May but kept ovaries, have taken prednisone but not long term or anything, don’t have any cervical discs messed up. So strange!

I have dealt with same on left side only. I also swell in the abdominal area as well at same time. Lasts about a week and goes away. Been going on for 4yrs now. Drs called me a mystery. Have been to hospital numerous times for the pain from swelling. CT scans..X-rays..PET scans show NOTHING. I am now being referred to an oncologist. Last ER visit yesterday was told it could possibly be an obstruction in lymph node causing it not to drain right? Curious if your abdomen swells as well during your episodes

I also have this kind of swelling for several months now. It is only on the left side however not both. People notice it and wonder what it is. It is very puffy and soft. Can't feel anything else.

I have the swelling above my collar bones as well, and I constantly have the post nasal drip and am spitting out yucky phlegm. I have also been told that I have an enlarged thyroid, but didn't get the scan done yet. I have swelling around other joints and my RF factor was elevated, but have never been given a firm diagnosis of RA. I also had a hysterectomy last year and had fibroid tumors as well as endometriosis, which I never knew I even had. I was completely healthy up until the past few years. I don't know what's going on, but it is scary. I am on Estradiol hormone patches now for a year.

I've had allergies my entire life, and developed the lumps about 18 years ago. Some days they're larger than others, but they never quite go away. If I massage them (hard) they decrease, but I always wonder if that's a good thing or not. I've had doctors, specialists, etc look at them. I had a CAT scan, an MRI, my thyroid tested and a sonogram done. All came back fine and no one had an answer. There are lymph nodes all over your body, but these are the only ones I have that are swollen. When I say I"m not sure if the massage to reduce them is a good thing or not, I mean, the nodes need to be drained, and I do that, but there's a reason there's 'poisons' in there to begin with. After the squeezing, they're now floating thru my body. I'm a 56 year-old female who's fit, healthy and eats well. No other health issues, other than BP and elevated cholesteral, which I'm on meds for. I do find the Madelung Syndrome idea interesting since until recently I was an above-avg drinker.

The only thing I have noticed that could be causing mucus is our food supply, most likely. Also, chemtrails dumping aluminum hydroxide, etc into the atmosphere. The sidewalks and large rocks are dirty looking in Tucson where I live. Didn't used to be this way. Yesterday the sky was criss crossed with trails in the sky. Breathing that can't be good. I am not a drinker at all. Elevated cholesterol goes with hypothyroid disease. Going on medicine takes it down overnight. For some reason patients are being cut off here and also in UK, perhaps all over. You get very sick and die without enough thyroid meds.
