My aunt has gone to the emergency room 2nd time this week. She is 87 and had diarhea and vomited for two days. Then constipated and nausea for 2 days, then diarhea and nausea for 3 days. The hospital sent her home after 2 days there and all kinds of blood work, MRI, CT Scan with no findings. Today she is back just as bad and back at the hospital. 7 hours later they still have no diagnosis. This is weird but driving down the road the word esophogus popped into my mind. Does anyone have any thoughts.
I do not know. But from what I think it seems like a stomac virus or maybe food poisoning. I really dont know for sure but make sure she drink alot of water. Cant have her getting dehydrated. Try feeding her easy foods like apple sauce or something to help get some food into her stomach

i would agree with above, sounds like a virus - keep her drinking fluids and eating bland food like dry toast.

if she doesn't keep any liquids down in 12hrs get her back to hospital as older people can become dehydrated very quickly!
