Hi all. I visited my doc 2 weeks ago and he told me that I had bowel polops. He also told me that I should have them removed. So, my question is next: how are those polops removed??? Which treatment do you recommend?? Thanks

First off all, I will assume that you mean on polyps (that is correct spelling). Now, almost all polyps can be removed using a flexible instrument called a colonoscope and I think that it the treatment you should have. During the procedure a colonscope will be passed into the colon through the anus and than the polyp will be cauterised with a wire using an electric current. By the way, that current does not hurt. Larger polyps sometimes need more than one treatment for complete removal…. It is very safe and efficient procedure… Best of luck.
