im in the same boat as you.Meditated for a year, now christian.Started get anxiety problems, then my brain started crackling and popping.I think its activating all the lobes that were never used before.
I've been experiencing crackling working with non- dominant hand. It definitely feels like a dormant area waking up.
Yes.. What is it?
I don't get it
Wow! You nailed it. It's squishy, like little water moving in a tube. I'm 35, I have been having sensation that my brain moves when I move my head as well. But au contraire to everyone mentioning the time of the sound, I only get it when I read or pay attention to detail. Plus when I type. People are just laughing at me when I tell them I have this problem. Nobody believes me. I'm not scared of death. But the sound is really annoying.
My daughter who is around 12 years old complained of ticking sound in the back of her head after she had a throat and ear infection. She usually gets it during physical activity. I don't know what it exactly is but as she has allergies, chronic sinus and middle ear infections I am relating those to her ticking sounds in head.
Same thing here, and had it all my life with the flash of lighting. comes and go I ask doctors they have no clue.
If you have silver fillings you ate being poisoned buy them!!!!! The crackling is neulogical problem caused from the mercury in your fillings. Get to a safe dentist and hav them removed immediately! !! Them start a dexox diet to remove the mercury deposits out of your brain organs and fatty tissue! God Bless and Good Luck

I am a research student and I had experience cracking or popping sounds in my brain too. It started at a slow phase when I started to do intensive study for the first time which include bible study, academic study and reading of various scientific journal and books. Amazingly among all activities, bible study makes it crack even more. I visited doctor about 4 times and got recommendation to cut down on study. But I can't cut down on intensive study because I had come to love doing it now never like before. I had also realized having an improved memory of everything I studied. My academic results even increase from average student to A+ student and my research is going on well. My reading and comprehension skills had increase. Now my brain never stops thinking when I am free and the cracking and popping sounds continues to exist within my brain. I thought it was some kind of mental disorder but still I can't get good advise from doctors. I believe the cracking sound is a sign of expansion to one's mind capacity. Yes, my mind never stop working and thinking in seconds, minutes, hours, in the present, future. I have come to be a person that constantly living in a mode of active thinking. The only time my mind get distracted is when I engage in leisure activities. Now I am 31 years old.

Dude, it's called complex ptsd. You're brain is trying to prune out some nasty stuff from your childhood that is linked to more recent trauma. Kundalini yoga or dance to lots of trance.
