I’ve been on breast reduction surgery two months ago. All passed well and I felt ok after procedure. I went to check yesterday, because I felt something like lump or node under my fingers on my right breast, and mammography showed some kind of node 18mm in right breast. It seems that I have got small hematoma. How come I got breast hematoma?

Well all surgery carries a risk of bleeding and the one you had should not be took so lightly. In your case blood probably collected under the skin surface of right breast after the surgery. They are common after traumas and surgeries. There is also risk associated with transfusion. Hemamtomas are good mediums for the growth of bacteria and increase risk of infection. Consult your doctor about it.

I have had no trauma and I developed a hugh hematoma in my breast. It is so very painful and seams to be very hard and is bigger than when it started and now it is making my breast look deformed is this normal? The doctor says I have to wait for a month before he will do anything. This thing is the size of a plumb. I am in pain and alittle scared.
