I am just making sure I am on the right track.

Quick story: I was in a motorcycle accident on Dec 29th 2008, in for surgery ti pin and screws in. I don't know exactly where the break was so here is pic (http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v1916/210/18/507652795/n507652795_1957613_7169.jpg)

i went in for my two week xray, they said looking good so far. I am waiting for my 6 week.

shortly after that I was at an event and i slipped putting very minor weight on my left leg to catch from falling but instantly regained with my good leg and crutches.

So what sorta things should i look for while in healing waiting for the 10-12 week mark?
I do have a little pain once and a while. along the entire thigh. I obviously don't have much motion at the knee. When i flex the bad though it feels like it is harder than my good though (is this normal). Though feels kinda tingly still. the top cut at hip, i feel as if its harder there also at times, almost like i can feel the bolt. not a shark cutting pain but just a slight pain when touching. Should that be normal? Again hip area is is slightly out more and harder than that of the good side.

I do a lot of laying down which sucks, but its the most comfortable. Sitting up just stretches it to much. i keep my lower leg (below the knee) atop a pillow when laying down as i can't fully straighten my leg. i don't lay on either of my sides, always on my back, and my leg does veer to the left a little. and sometimes i prop it up so its straight.

I am just concerned i am doing something wrong.
