I also had both Bunions and Hamertoes done. to my left foot first and it took about 6 weeks until i was able to get it into a regular sneaker. However I just went back in to do my right foot. Again I know it is going to be about 6 weeks for my right foot to go back into a regular sneaker as well. However Its been now about 2 months since I've done my left foot and i still have swelling on my toes. The pain on both were very very mild when controlled by meds like Vicoden and Percecot. They both work superb just make sure you have a heavy meal in your stomach. Both these meds are very sensitive to my stomach unless I have heavy meals, but besides that they work great. I don't feel a thing! However my question is... WHEN CAN I GO BACK INTO A HIGH HEEL???? I'm DYING!!!!! I miss my shoes so much. There is a big difference everyone keeps saying you'll be back in a shoe in 2-3 weeks THAT IS FALSE you must be in the surgical shoe for about 4-6 weeks and then you can go into a regular sneaker! But my question is when can I go back into a regular High Heel??? I can't even wear mid heels. because it still hurts my foot. Somone please advise!!
Hi
I had bunion and hammertoe removed 2 weeks and 2 days ago on my right foot and 2 day ago on my left foot. My healing is going pretty well although i have a little more pain with my left foot. I'm scheduled for physical therapy for my rt foot in about a week and looking forward to it. I was wondering how long it took you to get back into your heels. Its summer in two months and I'm hoping to get into some sandal soon, i wont push it.
