Hi, folks. I had some problems with my nose, so I visited a specialist. After an examination, he told me I had a papilloma in the nose. I am afraid and wondering at the same time if this can become a cancer. I would appreciate if someone could tell me something about this.
Hello to you too. There are two types of benign tumor that appear in nose. Polyps are the most common ones. Other ones are papillomas. Papillomas are usually caused by viruses. They have more tendency to bleed than polyps. About 10 to 15% of these papillomas become cancer. You don’t need to worry a lot. However, I recommend you routine check ups with your specialist. The best option is to remove them surgically. Good luck!
