A friend of mine has been diagnosed with breast cancer. A mastectomy is what is expecting her and I dont have to explain how stressed and shocked she is. The news is very disturbing for me and I want to help her as much as I can. I want to buy her a good orthotics bra for running so that she can continue with her favorite sports activity. Can you give me a few suggestions?
Its good for her not to stop with usual activities because in that way she wont be overwhelmed with depression. Running is really great in such situation because its an outdoor sport and it will surely help her. There are special bras for women who undergo a mastectomy. They can be specially designed and measurements are taken for each person separately. The prosthesis can be placed in comfortably and its not unpleasant. These bras cant be bought at sports stores. Its best for your friend to go to a rehab service after the surgery and to consult with a qualified fitter who will explain her the whole procedure. Anyway, running is possible after such surgeries.
