Hello, I have problems with high blood pressure and problems with a lot of extra weight. I think that high pressure is directly caused by those extra kilos. I think that main problem is in increased appetite. Doctor advises me to start with the diet and I have been hearing about Clonidine and its effect. Can it cause loss of appetite?
I must tell you that Clonidine is used for dealing with high blood pressure but only in those cases where no other drug helps. It decreases simpaticus and increases parasimpaticus which is manifested with hypotension and bradycardia. As for side effects, you should be aware of constipation, dry mouth, bradycardia. I do not think it affects appetite.
I’m certainly not like wanting to prove I’m right or anything I just wanted to answer truthfully about clonidine of course I’m not a nurse or a doctor let me make that clear…… But my experience with clonidine major appetite suppressant and I actually don’t like it because I have low energy and I can’t eat so it’s really not a very good one..For that anyway but it really does help blood pressure and anxiety
