I took a big fat line of coke about 4 months ago in Brasil. I was really stupid and drunk. Im 28 bt had hardly ever done drugs before.
It was pretty much my first time. I feel light headed, tingling sensations in my forehead, slight problems with math.
I'm sure it damaged my brain.

Im going to take the reccomendations and do exercise everyday, work on difficult problems (language learning, math) eat well and just prey I make a recovery.

Wow! Cant believe i stumbled accross! Both me and my gf used cocaine for about a year not often maybe once a couple months! Never had any bad side effects! But the last time we did was just over a year ago and we have been ill ever since! Feeling spaced out like everything is a dream, memory is in tatters things i do that day seem like they happend weeks ago, im tired and i get this weird tingling in my forehead and around my nose! Iv been activley trying to find out what was wrong and iv had mris and countless other tests but everything comes back fine! I would say i was deffently anxious when this all started wason anxiety medz aswell as seeing a phsycatrist! None of my symptoms have gone but i feel the anxiety has gone! It is something i causef myself and now probally have to live with it forever! There are still a few things im looking into and will keep u up to date if i find anything! I dont think it wss so much the cocaine but something was cut with it that has caused this

To the recent posters, it has been 5 months for me now and i'm well again. It is NOT damage on your brain, it's anxiety and it's cryptic symptoms. I really don't want anyone to suffer needlessly like i did so i'm going to describe the symptoms i had:

1. Preassure on nosebridge and forehead
2. I was really disorientated the first two weeks
3. Feeling like you are in a dream
4. Fear
5. One panic attack
6. Insomnia
7. Eye floaters
8. Feeling "out of it"
9. Rapid heartbeat, random onset
10. Impaired memory

I used several methods on my way to recovery, but i don't know if i made recovery because of my methods or if it was a natural process.

1. Fish oil
2. Magnesium
3. Vitamin B, B12 and C
4. Realization that it was just anxiety
5. Acupuncture (This really helped, though not the first 3 or so times. After a few sessions i really felt 110% back to normal, then it slowly declined until my next session. This helped me realize that there was hope)
6. Sleeping medication.

I did not exercise.

It is vital to keep your mind occupied with other tings. I sat on my computer for 2-3 months playing games and such, it really helped.

If you really feel like you need help, go talk to a PSYCHOLOGIST, not your GP or psychiatrist. Anxiety medication did not work for me, and anti depressants made me much, much worse.

As someone said earlier in this post, hang in there! The first month or so was really horrible for me and i feel for you 100%

Don't do drugs while you are ill. Preferably you shouldn't do drugs ever again.

The symptoms that persisted for the longest period of time was the head preassure and the rapid heartbeat.

Yes, I am 100% and I'm currently writing an e-book on the subject. I will comment here when I publish it.

I went from needing to hold my mom's hand several times a day for assurance to 100% well again.

Can i ask what symptoms you had?

I dont see how it can be anxiety, reading everyone elses posts everyones symptoms sound to familiar. With anxiety not 2 peoples symptoms are the same so i see it as a bit of a co-incidence. I have also been suffering with this for a year and also with anxiety symptoms normally fluxuate which at least mine doesnt. No matter what im doing or what im thinking about.

Iv done the medz and phyciatrist for anxiety none of that helped.

After reading your post im going to seek ancupucture are u sure it just helped with what ever the cocaine has caused?

The main thing is ur better which is good and i cant wait for the day i am too.

Supper rich, can i ask what symptoms you have.

The numbness/tingling around the forehead and nose is the thing that i dont get.

Acupuncture can work for anxiety, as can therapy if you see a social worker, counselor, or analyst. Have you looked into any of those options? I think that might be why you haven't recovered yet. What do you think?

To Superrich,

I like you have been suffering for a long time (for me almost a year). Whilst I go back and forth thinking I've recovered to despair I also believe there is hope. For me, by far the most informative, and helpful guide to recovery are the free audios available at . If you haven't already had a look I highly recommend downloading them and having a listen. Best of luck - we will get there in the end.

Sounds to me like you are suffering from substance - induced anxeity disorder. Some people have extreme adverse affects to such drugs such as coke, and it can cause panic attacks and anxiety. For all the people who think they are suffering some sort of medical problem, I suggest seeing a doctor, however chances are you have likely developed a mild to severe case of hypochandriasm which is extremely common and associated with anxiety. I my self have experienced these same events and after thousands of doctor bills later found out that the majority of it was all in my head and you can and will think things into existance. The mind is a very powerful thing and it is not wise to tamper with such drugs such as cocaine. Easier said than done, but once you suffer from panic and anxiety, unfortunately it is a learned response and you will most likely live with it forever. So good luck and don't stress too much. My favorite Mantra when thinking about how short life is and how worrying is not productive. JUst be thankful that you are alive and learn from your mistakes, there are plenty of other people out there that have REAL diseases and illness, just be happy you are not one of them.
