I haven't touched anything for more than 2 years. I sleep very good every night. I've been like this for a very long time (more than 2 years) so you can't say that it's all in your head smoke some weed. please don't give anymore of your advice when you don't know what your talking about. as for everyone that suffers from this, you know what I'm talking about and don't take anyone advice when they tell you to smoke some weed or do anotrher drug. this is what got us here in the first place. STAY AWAY FROM DRUGS!!!! i know the more time that goes by it gets easier to deal with. hang in there everything will be ok in the long run.

There is a lot of self fulfilling prophesies that occur these days because of anti drug propaganda. For everyone who sent in a post worried that because they snorted some coke they will have lifelong problems, please realize that the only anxiety you have is from you worrying. Information about all of the permanent damage drugs cause is mainly from people who have never done them and want to discourage "experimenting", or from drug addicts who have given into the idea that their mental instability is caused by their abuse, rather than the same instability that made them abuse drugs in the first place. Now, I hope this next little confession will make those of you who dabbling with cocaine feel a little better. I have injected over 5 ounces of coke in my life (Much more intense than smoking crack). I do have some anxiety issues, but I am still a functioning normal, happy person. Once you can establish a good mental outlook, the addiction will naturally diminish and you can still learn to live sober. The separation between the mental and the physical is an illusion. Mind over matter. Quit worrying!
I went to Brazil a year ago. 5 days before I was set to fly out I met a coke head. And to cut a long story short I took a large , single, dose of cocaine. I was majorly depressed at first. But gradually got worse headaches. Then after 4 months I was working 24/7. All the time. My brain crashed a few months later and now I have daily head pulsations and weird headaches. Been that way for 5 months.
Never do cocaine. Its a c**p drug and cause massive harm.

This doesn't happen to everyone that use coke. I'm not trying to discourage anyone from experimenting. The only reason I'm here is to help those this has already happen to. You make it sound like a person has to be an addict for this to happen. NOT TRUE some of us are not addicts. I used coke maybe 2 times a year for 7 years or so until this happen to me. I was not an addict in any way. Your right about something. You have to establish a good mental outlook. I've been like this for the last 2 1/2 years. I function very well, normal and most of the time I'm happy. I WAS NOT AN ADDICT AND IT HAPPEN TO ME

I used to work in mental health, I have seen drug induced psychosis in people, it is not nice, would you play russian roulette, say 20 guns all lined up and one has a live round in it, would you play the game of death, because that is exactly what your doing using Cocaine. I suggest you take a few hours out and get googleing on the subject of the drug, you use up your own happy chamicals like Seratonin, Doapmine etc, In 1890 cocaine was a popular drug used in Coka Cola half the american population was dependant on iot, then it was banned when the goverment realised what was in it, half of america did cold turkey. this info is in the History of Crack Cocaine. I have a copy that I use, as I am a therapist now. I was a support worker in several mental health units, trust me stay away from it. It will destroy you, your family, your friends, if you want a good high, have good sex. Is it worth it for a 5 to 10 minuet high for what it costs. The more you use the more you WILL become depressed, then some one will say "hey why not have a bit of this Heroin, it stops the big crash, and before you know it your shop lofting selling your car, losing your mrs, and sometimes prostituting yourself out, all for a snifffffff. the highs get less and the downs get bigger, gigger than you can handle. These are the listed concequenses of use. BREAK UP IN FAMILY RELATIONSHIP, COMMITING CRIME, HEART PROBLEMS, MOOD SWINGS, LACK OF PERSONAL HYGEINE, LOSS OF REAL FRIENDS, AND THE GAIN OF USERS. PRISON, EXPERIENCING VIOLENCE, LUNG PROBLENS, PARANOID FEELINGS, LACK OF MONEY, BUT NOT THE DEALER OF COURSE!, BECOMING VIOLENT, PROSTITUTION, LOSS OF JOB, EMOTIONAL TURMOIL, SEVERE DEPRESSSSSSSIONNNN, HAVINE A STROKE THIS COULD LEAD TO PAMPERS FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE?, ANXIETY, INSOMNIA, LOSS OF POSESSIONS AS YOU SELL THEM ALL TO PAY THE DEALER, LOW SELF ESTEEM,SEXUAL ISSUES ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION ETC, ISOLATION, NO CONFIDENCE, FEELING OUT OF CONTROL, PSYCHIATRIC PROBLEMS AND STAYS IN PSYCHIATRIC UNITS, MMM NICE. DEATH THROUGH HEART ATTACK OR SUICIDE, NEED ANY MORE BE SAID. RUSSAIN ROULETTE. BANG.

haha you're all funny stressing over one night on the charlie. chill out guys. your brain is hugely resilient and one night will not cause any problems. more likely is you stressed your heart by mixing coke with alcohol (= cocaethylene) something else to worry about!
there's nothing funny about what is going on here. ***edited by moderator*** ** inappropriate posting**
for all those people that are feeling low after abusing cocaine is due to brain receptors going a-wall --they need to get back on track
reading a book can be good therapy --- %-) cocaine can have a positive effects if used in very small dosages "daily basis"before reading a good book :-)

As someone who did a LOT of coke for a few months, and eventually was forced to seek medical help for it, trust me, these are not the type of problems that are caused by cocaine. Coke is really really bad for you, but the kind of problems that are being described by people on this board are either problems that only occur over frequent and prolonged use or they are not symptoms at all. The only explanations for the types of problems y'all are describing that I can think of are that a) paranoia about the experience is causing you to psych yourself out (seriously, the mind is powerful, this could be a possibility), b) some issues you already had, like depression, were aggravated by the experience, c) a combination of a and b, or D) there may have been some other chemical that was in the coke that may have had an effect on your brain in a negative way. If your symptoms are truly as bad as y'all claim (which I don't doubt) I would bet on D... coke is a really dirty drug, and the people that handle it are absolute s**m that couldn't care less about cutting the drug with dangerous chemicals to make a few extra bucks.
As a side note, I DO question myself on whether my memory has ever been the same since I stopped using a few years ago... I supposedly have an IQ of 143 and I killed it on the SAT way back when I took it... yet sometimes I literally can't even remember things that happened an hour ago without being prompted. It sucks. Anybody have any similar experiences?

Hi, I have actually do a fair amount of cocaine and I have never had any long lasting effects, I have infact done up to 3 grams in ONE night, all it caused was a little bit harder to sleep and an increase in heart rate. I do this in Costa Rica though, where cocaine is alot more pure and cheaper to obtain, my theory on your problem is not the cocaine its self that is the substance that has made u sick, most likely whatever chemical they used to cut it with in order to make more money from the sale. Remember that cocaine in most countries is expensive and therefore people will put additives to gaine a larger profit, you have to be careful with what those additives are, unfortunately it is something your not likely to ever know for certain, therefore the RISKS
Its all in your head ppl!!!! Coke gives you a 20 min high on average, and then its gone.It is impossible that you are still feeling the effects days later, let alone weeks.I think that your making yourself belive that your still high or damaged when in fact there is nothing wrong at all!!! My advice to you would be to go and smoke some fruit and chill out!!!
I've done this for quite a few year'; but recreationally. Honestly, I won't do blow unless I have a ton of booze or xanax or bud. But sounds like itll just get better with time.
If you are experiencing problems months after use I would attribute this to guilt and paranoia. Now is it normal to feel the effects of cocaine a few days after (and not pleasurable ones)-YES it is. Unfocused, patchy sleep, depressed and kind of dirty all normal side effects of mixing and coming down. Get the rest you need and getting a deep sleep is the most important thing to do. Plus don't think about it so much. And DON'T DO COKE.
note to self: don't try cocaine.
