I take reclipsen pills, and my period always come when I'm on my 4th inactive pill, but before that I have unprotected sex I don't use another method, would the inactive pills have the same effects as the hormone pills? Please some one answer me asap!!
Hi Love,
The inactive pills are just that, inactive. You really don't even need to take them as all they really do is serve as a "reminder."
You are NOT likely to get pregnant early in your cycle. Usually you will ovulate between about days 11-16 of your cycle. Day 1 is when your period starts. You can't get pregnant until after ovulation.
From about 9 days before your period starts (day 19), you've already ovulated and the egg is NO longer viable. It only survives for about 48 hours.
Sperm can survive up to about 5 days so having sex on day 6, if you weren't using protection, you could get pregnant. You could still get pregnant having sex on day 18. Day 6 - 18 is the likely "window" of possible pregnancy.
Hope it helps.
