Can you have a delayed reaction to a high mileage week of running? I ran 56 miles last Monday through Friday and yesterday my legs felt completely abused and sore. I am still feeling it this morning.
As a caveat I did have to walk about 3 miles of road during a roadside cleanup that my Alumni club was scheduled to do.
The 56 miles is the most mileage I have ever done. I am only scheduled to do 40 this week so I hope my legs start to feel better.

FWIW - Walking makes me sore. For me, it's much easier on my legs to run 2 miles than it is to walk them.
